The AJC is known nationwide as one of the most inept papers in the country, because the majority of its staff come from a worthless diploma factory. Instead of getting all riled up, we should point, laugh, and give hell to any dweeb trying to sell the paper door to door.

This is only partly true. The AJC is known all over as a very poor example of a newspaper but it isn't really because of their staff necessarily coming from UGA but more because they hire a large number of their staff right out of college (whatever college they come from). The young staffers they get might be good writers but journalism, in large measure, is a profession where experience counts and matters. It takes time to earn credibility and for people to trust you and help you get good stories that mean something. Inexperienced writers will write about the easy stories because they haven't really learned how to get the good, interesting, meaningful stories.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule but in the case of the AUC they aren't hiring any of those exceptions ;)

I can't remember the time I last spent more than 5 minutes reading a paper newspaper. The news is so old by the time you get it. You guys should come on into this century - it's nice here.

you obviously read mostly trash then. many newspapers that actually have real information and not just reprints of AP stories are not even available online

its people like you that think everything is online that are turning news into sensationalism to feed the 24 "info craze" when all you get is crap
