Wow! Just looked at the line for the VPI game and...

It's all about making the betting even on both sides. I don't know why they think the betting public is going to favor us though. It sounds like maybe they don't know, since 3 points is the traditional margin for home field.
 
This line reminds of how Illinois was somehow favored against Wisconsin. Wisconsin was top 10 at the time but the Vegas people saw something. Illinois won the game by the way.

or how FL opened as a 9 pt fav vs ugag even though UGA was ranked much higher or how bc was an underdog last week.

Vegas knows nothing other than how people bet. Now, the really smart big money would jump on a line if they thought it was way off but I expect GT to kick off as a fav on thursday night.

Granted, I was hoping we wouldn't. If I knew how TB would play and how many TOs we would make, I'd feel much better about the game.
