In this case, it makes no sense.

I could understand leaving a team if Nick Saban or Dabo Swinney or some other established coach who is doing well, but if you are leaving over a Geoff Collins or a Willie Taggart then you need to reassess your decision making

Probably leaving over the uncertainty of who the next coach is more than anything. New coach may mean new position coaches, new scheme, etc.

He's probably leaving because he's not good enough to crack the starting roster and leaving now will let him play two years of meaningful football at a lower level school instead of one.

It's very possible this would have happened even if Collins weren't fired.

He is buried on the depth chart, but wasn’t on the ATL chart, which allowed him to play under the clown. As such, he didn’t want to waste his year. I wish him well.

The team was quitting before he was fired. I think we've gotten 95% of the team back. It sucks to lose a few, but it's the risk that comes with change and this was a change that was beyond due.

Bummer. I wonder if it’s related to the coaching change, maybe sliding down the depth chart with Blackburn/Blackstrain hitting the field finally, or something else entirely.

I believe that Daniels has had even more short-term gigs in his professional career than the average football coach While I'm not privy to his personal situation, it appears to be par for the course for him .
