First time poster but have been a GT fan my whole life (>33 years) and am an alumni of Ma Tech. I've been reading StingTalk for a long time now. A lot of good posts/posters over the last few years. I've especially enjoyed Dem's insider info on a lot of the rumors, process, etc..
Like a lot of you I haven't been able to concentrate on work since Gailey was fired and am just ready for this all to end and move on with whomever the coach is going to be. I trust that DRad's decision will be what's right for GT. Of course I have my favorite (come on Hatcher, don't let up now) but if it is Muschamp, Johnson, etc., I will give them and Drad the benefit of the doubt and cheer no matter what. I'm just so glad that there is a process going on, because for so long, I felt like we were never going to see change at Bobby Dodd stadium.
For what it's worth, my best friend (also a GT alum) was listening to 790 the zone today and they were naming Hatcher as the leading candidate for the head coaching job which was confusing because most of the people "in the know" both on this board and with personal connections in the GTAA, were pretty sure it was gonna be Muschamp, even as of yesterday evening. So I don't know....everyone knows how "sources" are. I know I don't have any sources and so I'm chewing my fingernails waiting on the announcement. Man I hope it comes soon.....

Go Jackets...and oh yeah...TO HELL WITH GEORGIA:D

Maybe dem knows something...maybe he doesn't. Same time a high ranking insider posted that WM was out of consideration in the Hive chat- dem posted his curveball post. Maybe they found out at the same time???

However, according to dem the board was set to meet tomorrow to approve WM. What could have happened to change that?
 
Bottom line is that we really shouldn't know anything, we just want to. I've said all along, I don't care who the new coach is as long as it isn't Chan. I just don't want us as fans to decide we don't want someone for ridiculous reasons like where he went to school, where he's coached or what he's coached.
 
I have wasted the entire day reading all of these silly, idiotic posts on here. I would appreciate all you dumb asses like me refrain from posting until you learn from a reliable source that something significant is definitely happening. :laugher::laugher::laugher:
 
I've wasted more time on this site in the past week than I care to admit......keep up the good work so I can waste some more.

thats exactly right. Now im a hatcher fan myself and id like to see him wearing a jacket collard shirt but at the same time i dont think a coach with prior playing time at your rival school would come into the school as a coach and lose to that team on purpose. any coach or any person would be insain and outta there mind to do such. i support whoever the new coach is.
 
We could also be in contract negotiations and trying to leverage one against the other.

As best I can tell we've considered 3 guys but most notably Edsall and WM. Hatcher and Tenuta were 2nd tier guys who might get in the mix.

Edsall was evidently told no. I'm not sure how much has changed. Hopefully the Neuheisel junk was smoke and mirrors and is done.
