I've never really understood the bickering about the "other" board that you see on both of these sites. I've been reading and posting to both for years, and just see occasional jabs each way. What's the deal? It seems like some lame BS to me, but maybe I'm missing something.
If you frequented this board back before DoubleB created BBuzzoff and posted here as Beebad and even in his first year under BBuzzoff, you'd probably understand. If not, you wouldn't get it.
I give him a lot of credit for throwing it back in the faces of many of his detractors by creating another successful board. He's done a good job.
That said, I will never support that board solely because of Beebad's past actions which have included:
1.) making really inappropriate comments like personal attacks on student athletes, especially some that hadn't even shown up on Tech's campus.
2.) encouraging people to completely stop supporting the GTAA financially
3.) Often and repeatedly insulting Georgia Tech's campus, Georgia Tech's students, Georgia Tech's alumni base, Georgia Tech's traditions, Georgia Tech's history, Georgia Tech's athletics... etc. etc. etc.
I don't see how someone can be such a great fan of Georgia Tech when they've insulted about everything that the school represents. You can do searches of the archives here to see his posts and see for yourself. Its pretty well documented up until the mods booted him for his incessant rants.
I think then you may understand why there are those that don't like him. He is one of these yankee transplants who came to Atlanta with a Philadelphia Eagles fan attitude and has never been accepted by the people who really make the GT program run, and he's trying to prove a point that he is close with the program to throw it in those people's faces. Its actually kind of enjoyable to watch on one hand because what he wants so badly is to be taken as a big time GT guy, and he won't ever achieve that because he's pissed off too many people and he doesn't donate any money. Now he's just another tool of exposure and it works for the program and it works for him. So good for both.
