Why did we get penalized? I couldn’t watch game for lack of ACC Network. But saw the highlight where our players our pelted with water bottles. I would at least think penalties on both sides. What the heck?

Also did we go for 2? Or just botch the snap.

It was cause of like delay of game or taking a knee or something on an XP. While them running a blocked one back wouldn't of won the game, I would guess it was to make sure there wasn't some crazy öööö go down that would give them any momentum on the kickoff.

Delay of game. Then didn’t want to risk the block and return to allow a FG to win it.

Ah I guess I can see the reasoning. If they return a kickoff to FG range the game is over on time. A FG was impossible.

Yeah, I think somebody had a brain fart on that one. Kick the XP. Then they have to throw the 75 yard hail Mary… if they can even get a play off.

What it really is is a coach giving another coach a live lesson in how to play no risk football when the game is won...

Thinking about the squib or onside or whatever you want to call it on our kickoff. If it stays in bounds that forces them to pick it up and return it or the game ends. As opposed to a normal kickoff where you can fair catch and get a next play. So that was actually a good call unless you kick it out of bounds which is what of course happened. Right?

I guess I would rather be up 4 so that a FG for them is off the table and the chance of giving up the 2 is very slim. If the lead is 1 or 2, then taking the knee is always the best play.

On kick off, I would prefer a sky kick toward the sideline but if kicker can’t execute then I guess a squib even a bad one is best .

On that last play, it was frustrating that it took so long but we showed great discipline. The players stayed in their lanes and spread across the field.

I agree that kicking the extra point would've been better but here's a hypothetical sequence where taking a knee would've been better:
1. We attempt an extra point but it's blocked AND we get a 15-yard penalty.
2. We squib kick from the 20 and it goes out of bounds. Miami ball at the GT 45.
3. Miami kicks a 62-yard field goal and ties it.
