I've always used ya'll. For the record, y'all is how northerners spell it. It's a contraction between "ya" and "all". When's the last time you heard a Southerner say "you"?
If you go to Decalb County you'll here "you all" all day long. Just and observation...

There are quite a few spots that says it's ya'll. I always thought it was y'all too, but was told that ya'll is its own word. Y'all is from a bunch of northerners who are contracting you all, a term that is just not heard in the south.
