Somebody explain these rules to me- both punts were clearly not going to go into the endzone themselves and would not have unless the nadlickers ran into them. The first one where that buttcrack kicked the ball into the endzone clearly falls under this section, but the second one where the retard had it it hit off his shoulders may not.

Any Team A kick strikes the ground and, after a Team B player bats the ball, it crosses Team B’s goal line, where Team B recovers it or it goes out of bounds.
RULING: Safety. Batting the kick is

considered to have destroyed the impetus of the kick and imparted a new impetus. However, merely touching or deflecting the kick, or being struck by it, does not destroy the impetus of the kick (Rule 8-
5-1-a).

That sideline ref should be fired (big S on his back for sucks). He's clueless. The whole bunch of them were a bigger bunch of idiots than the worst of the ACC refs.

Normal GT rules in place yesterday. If we don't beat them cocksukers by 21, we've got no chance of winning by a FG. They're always going to find a way to hand them bastards 3 scores.

Not disagreeing about the bad calls, but we had multiple opportunities that we did not capitalize on.

They didn't help, but you can't blame the zebras for this 'un.

It seems we get shafted by refs in this game every yr even by ACC refs. But over the years we have not made plays in this game when they mattered the most: fumbles late, interseptions, recover fumbles, cashing in when we do get an oppertunity.... . May be that is what they call better talent, coaching whatever

They goofed up enough throughout the game for us to have no complaints about missed opportunities. We dropped passes, missed their fumbles, and threw the ball inconsistently. Yes, we got screwed on the early PI call, but in the grand scheme of things, their subsequent silver platter offerings that we discarded more than made up for it. We had the chances and blew them. We can't blame the officials for this one.

They never had possession of the ball and they never intentionally hit(batted) the ball into the endzone, so neither of them were safeties. That's the rules, you can complain about the refs interpreting them correctly if you want. Maybe we should try recovering one of those ourselves, or maybe not fumbling the ball out of the back of U[sic]GA's endzone.

STFU and stop WHINING!

We did not make plays, they did. PERIOD! The only bad call cost us 4 points and that was the pass interference at teh end of the first half. Otherwise, and I watched the game a second time last night, the game was called fairly.

Its frustrating. Name ONE call that went against Georgie yesterday. Just one. You can't. It's always FIINHNNG like that!!!!!!!!!!!

Georgia got flagged several times. If you're talking about controversial calls, I can only really remember one, and that was that awful pass interference call against us.

You cannot beat God and The Refs.

Chan is the unluckiest coach in Tech history. No wonder he's always so conservative.

We still should have lost the game, but the call I was most questionable about was the fumble recovery in the endzone by MJ after the botched punt.

At first, the ref threw a flag for kick-catch interference, but it was waved off. So, it should have been a TD, but they gave possession to the Ugaggers instead. Was there something I missed that was a bit more obvious on TV?
