Miami self-imposing postseason ban?

wow.

If that happens, and VT loses to FSU, we're in control of our own destiny.

Do you really want a 5-7 team representing the Coastal in an already universally viewed embarrassment of a conference?

If it's us? Hell yes.

We'd probably need to be 6-6 (5-3) in order to get in, even if Miami were to remove themselves from contention. VT would win a tiebreaker with us if both teams were 4-4, and I don't see them losing to BC or Virginia.

You're not a fan if you say no.

Plus we'd have to be 6-6 to go to the ACCCG because we need to win out in ACC play to have a chance if VT loses to FSU

Not sure (I really have no idea), but could um play in the ACCCG but not go to a bowl after that?

No. If you are runner up or champion you HAVE to play in a bowl. Their decision to bypass a bowl would take them out of contention for the ACC-Coastal.

Losing to UGA and FSU 51-7 back to back weeks doesn't sound like fun. Beat UGA by some miracle, and then it would be worth something.

What's really sad is that this means we are still in contention for the Orange Bowl. All we need to do is win out our ACC games and FSU to beat VT. I don't think I'd be all that enthusiastic about that.

Knowing Miami, they're probably waiting to see if they will make it to the ACCCG. If not, they'll impose the postseason ban. If so, they won't.

From the article:
A year ago, Miami was 6-5 when it announced the ban, then dropped the season's final game and would have gone only to a lower-tier bowl anyway.

I would be super ----ing enthusiastic about it. You know why? Because I'm a Georgia tech fan

We've only lost 3 games. VT has lost 3. If we win out and they lose(more like when...) then 4 > 3. We go if Miami self imposes bowl ban... I really don't think that's going to happen. Not saying I wouldn't be excited about it but just being realistic.

From the article:

They really have no incentive not to do this. Which sucks

VT plays FSU next week. They're definitely going to lose that game, even with Sandman.
