Stupid playcalling most of the game - especially on the fake punt (thank goodness that didn't kill us) and the safety-generating bullshit in the 4th.

Unbelievable. Get rid of him.

It's official for me now. Watching that game gave me an ulcer. I have never see such terrible play calling, and stubbornness. I would have liked to see JT play in the second half when he wasn't pinned within his own 5. I think it's time for PJ to go and take his offense with him. It will take 2-3 years to undo this mess, might as well get started sooner than later.

Did CPJ call the fake punt, or was the punter coached to run if the defense gave him a certain look? Either way one could argue it's on Paul, but if Poole took off on his own there is a different slant.

Yep time for CPJ to go. Too much stupid play calling. We are fun to watch if you enjoy the Keystone Cops but not if you want to watch actual college football...

Only reason I can think of to keep PJ now is $$$$$$$$$$. Are we done with Blewitt yet? Can we reasonably afford to pay PJ and another coach of the quality we would like? Any new coach will likely be an up and comer who Bobinski knows from his days in the mid-level football schools. Nothing wrong wiith that for the right guy.

Another splendid game called by our offensive GURU. Yep another fine game called by our hc. Me I'm tired of it, one of those fine calls gave Mississippi 2 points which could have given the game away. This is on pj not the kids.

We have 3 more years of paying Hewitt. CPJ is owed about $8 million IIRC if he were fired today.....which is the only reason why he will return as our coach next year.

Many say that he has 2 more years but I think he's gone after next year if we don't win 9 games. And considering we just graduated our 2 best defensive players in Sneezy and Jemea...I don't think we'll win 9 games.

Due to Academics we should not expect to win more than 2 games per year.

CPJ is the best we can do. His is an O system that is great in HS, good at ga south., ok at USNA and is what it is in a power conference like the ACC.

Just enjoy the game.

Anyone who says a coach is "the best we can do" is a ööööing LOSER!!!

No one great ever said..."welp, that's the best we can do." The is bull. If you aren't continually trying new things to improve then you should quit.

CPJ hasn't tried anything new with that offense in 15+ years....thus LOSER!!!

"the best we can do" = "it is what it is"

Pray tell what is there to enjoy?

Well, for starters, there was the gorgeous pass to Waller for a TD right after DJ's interception. Then there was the great desire exhibited by a hungry team that refused to give up. And I don't want to leave out that Vad is now officially past the dreaded sophomore jinx. Finally, Miss wasn't exactly the worst team in the vaunted SEC and we weren't exactly the best team in the much-maligned ACC. Yet we still kept the game interesting and had a chance toward the end.

Yeah, there isn't any substitute for winning and one does have to question the trick play calling from time to time. But you asked what there is to enjoy, so I tried to give you some positives.

Since he calls all the plays yes the call is on him. He sends in a kid who has not played a down in the games yes his sub and play call is on him. Did you not notice that when the ball was fumbled he did not even try to get the ball back? Yet that play was on him, sorry if it offends but that was a stupid play call.
