Even CPJ isn't happy, wants to get bought out

Yeah because the dumpster fire he created is something any school would love to have. And that reverse backed up on your own 5? Pure genious

You don't think teams like Cuse, Pitt, UVA, NCSU, Maryland, Wake would take a "dumpster fire" that consistently wins 7-8 games a year? Because if you don't, then you're the "genious".

Christ, Tech fans are awful. Yall act like we win two games a season.

He should go back to Southern. Won't lose a year of eligibility.

One of those things I really didn't expect, but after hearing it, makes sense. We want to be Harvard 6 days a week and FSU on Saturdays. And I guess Vad is the last straw.

Heard last night the feeling is mutual. We better ante up or you're looking at a major-league cluster. Supposedly, CPJ is willing to take less than what is called for by contract.

Yeah seriously, he is such a cocky bastard, just step down ole fella and let us start fresh!

Stepping down may not be that easy if he wants to coach elsewhere immediately, depends on his contract which I admit I'm not familiar with. What's his buyout if he leaves without being fired?

The person of integrity named Klein has chimed in - "ship is sinking."

Chernoff - "Interesting"

And if all hades broke loose - what options would we have? Bohannon? Everybody would scream for Roof but what if he turned it down? (think about us being turned down by a guy fired at puke)

You don't suppose CPJ is using this as a way to redo his contract? :bowrofl:

Well, I will just continue to say my prayers.

@psufootball @zigmanfreud @BSDtweet @OnwardState Per BWI Phil Grosz hearing Al Golden has been offered HC job at PSU." We will see if true.

CPJ can head down to South Beach....I am sure they are clamoring for his genious

Also, if this turns out to have legs, is it too late to get Vad back? :hsugh:

So now Vad's decision to transfer is a little more confusing...?

Just hope CPJ or someone at Tech responds quickly to this. NSD is just around the corner and we have enough problems with last minute flips...

If we can wrap up a buyout fairly quickly, we may still be able to get Vad to change his mind. My guess is we promote Roof and go after a spread, zone read OC.

I think he wants $5 mill. He wants it all on his terms. This way he doesn't "get fired". He didn't want to be here. He decided.

Everybody would scream for Roof but what if he turned it down?

Unless we were closing down the program in a few years, I can't imagine Roof would turn down a head coaching gig here. The guy made, at best, a lateral move to get the DC slot at his alma mater.

So if CPJ leaves, I assume (if nothing else, to save money) we'd ask Roof to be head coach. I think I'd be okay with that. But who would he hire to run the offense?

etc/MTrain,

We had the same crappy-ass system in 2008/09, and even since then we have been towards the top in yards per play. It's not the öööö system and never has been. The execution and recruiting has been lacking, not the system.

I do think CPJ would be very successful somewhere else, without the recruiting restrictions. I thought about making a thread, in response to all the people clamoring for GOL, "how would CPJ do at UCF?" I think that he would be as or more successful as GOL, given the structural advantages for UCF and how other Florida schools have been down historically the past few years.
