I just ordered 11 tickets for the opener vs Wofford and recieved an email saying my tickets would be available for download on the 26th of August. Monday I recieved an email saying my tickets are ready for download but didnt send an link for the tickets. Is anyone familiar with Stubhub before I have to call? Im sure calling will be a pain..

Yeah, they should be ready for download on your stubhub account. I've already downloaded my tickets to the GS game.

You guys ordering tickets from Stubhub are the reason we can't compete with the SEC.

Coit: where do you suggest that I order them from? Hard to beat a good price!

When you buy from Stubhub, GT gets zero dollars. When you buy from GT, the money goes toward our athletic programs.

To ease your conscience, just write a check to the GTAA and drop it in the mail.

Dumb argument is dumb.

So your argument is that Tech got no money from the initial sell of those tickets?

Let's say they got $100 for 10 tickets.

CJ here wants to buy 10 tickets. He buys from GTAA, they get $100 more dollars.

He buys from Stubhub, GTAA gets $0 more dollars.

Seems pretty basic to me.

So you buy everything new? Ford gets no money from you when you buy a used car. Home builders get no money from you when you buy a used house.

What does that have to do my statement that buying tickets from GTAA supports the football program and buying from Stubhub does not?

But sure, the same argument applies. Ford does not benefit when you buy a used car. They have already made their profit the first time the car was purchased. They would rather you buy a new car from them than a used car, I assure you.

I know you are too smart to not understand this, so I'm having a hard time understanding your angle here.

Because buying from stubhub puts butts in seats regardless of whether there is a middle man or not. That's more important than whether the athletic association made a few more marginal sales but some bought tickets went unused.

Also, Ford would prefer you to buy a used Ford than a used Chevy. Same applies to the athletic association.

But the same number of butts will be in the seats in either case. If CJ buys 10 tickets from Stubhub, that's 10 butts, assuming 1 butt per ticket. If he buys from GTAA, that's also 10 butts.

Not if the people buying from stubhub are doing so because it's cheaper and wouldn't or are unable to pay the full price. Which is the case here.

WTF cares where the folks get the öööö tickets. Just be glad there will be 11 more asses in the seats come gameday.
