Gentlemen, Reggie Ball

You guys obviously aren't as surrounded by mutt fans on a daily basis as I am. I had to hear on a regular basis about how Ball was their favorite player. Every year he played, I just knew after Thanksgiving weekend that I would be able to laugh in their faces.....Alas, it was never so, and my bitterness fermented.

I remember everyone bitching about him starting and then us getting to see just how bad his backups were when Bennett took the field.

:bigcry:

All of my family is from Athens and I lived there for the longest time. Nut up bruh.

"BALL IS LOOSE!" Heart attack inducing Wes Durham call as I was relegated to tuning into the radio that evening. A classic. Reggie's a good kid. Always thought so from the time he came out of Stephenson High. Too bad things weren't better for him at Tech but you can't say he didn't show up.

LOL my wife and I still joke about that every time there's a fumble. I was listening to that game in the car and she laughed as I lost my öööö at the ambiguous call.

He definitely showed some major maturity (which you would hope) in this article. I really do appreciate his appreciation of GT and his time there.

With that said, for whatever reason (coaching or other), he did not seem to improve while he was here. I also wonder if he had worked with Ralph, would it have been different. Also, I wonder about what kinds of #s would Megatron have put up with a better passing QB. But those "wonderings" are just that. They do not mean that I have any personal animosity toward this young man. I hope he has a wonderfully successful life, and again, I really appreciate his current attitude exemplified in that article.

"C'mon dog, it's a game,''

I would have probably said the same thing to some little puss like you after I just busted my ass on the field for 60 minutes and then had to hear some bullshit from a little asshole like you. I would punch you right in the ovaries right now if you were within striking distance. Grow a set already.

Crybaby. Apparently, you turned on one of ours and stand next to UGAg fans in slamming one of ours. You are a öööö sissy boy. Are you ever gonna be a öööö man in your life. Stop being a öööö crybaby and man up, asshole.

Thanks guys for helping me to reinstate my disdain. Was worried for a minute.

Sorry to rain on the RB love fest.

Carry on.

This is what I just read "whah....whah.......wahhhhhhhhhhhh"

Crybaby. Go pull for UGA.

I'll be in section 120 tomorrow if you care to flex your Warcraft skills jjacket. Guess what, I also have severe dislike for Stephon Marberry. I put my time in the torture chambers of the Institute and in the stands, and I have earned the right to dislike someone who repeatedly wet the bed against the "school" I hate. I don't know Reggie personally; we would probably get along fine. That doesn't mean his time at Tech has to be a fond memory for me. If that rubs you the wrong way.....oh well. You will get over it.

It isn't a matter of getting over it for most of us. Rather, it is a disappointment that so many of our alumni have such low football IQ and a complete lack of class when it comes to understanding the nature of being a student athlete.

Fortunately for guys like Reggie Ball, they are bigger, better men than people like you, and they have gotten over it.

I remember Bennett playing really well when he started the Gator Bowl when Reggie was ineligible. I think he had a few good games when RB was injured also, didn't really start playing bad until job was his in 07. Kind of similar to Vad last year.

Bennett played awful in the gator bowl. His passes were all underthrown but thanks to calvin johnson we were fooled into thinking he would actually be good. Choice carried us to 7 wins in 2007. Bennett was awful.

Anyone who blames a loss on one player doesn't have a clue and has never played a team sport in their life.

For real? I think it's widely acknowledged when the offense doesn't play well the blame usually falls on the quarterback. Not blaming the whole game on him, but he made a big mistake that cost us the game 3 years straight.

I will look for the biggest crybaby in section 120 and give him a big punch in the uterus. Dude, I bet you don't even freakin' lift. I will bend you into a pretzel and make out with your wife. You don't have to like Reggie, we get it. Just stop being such a dick.

This. Bennett transferred to LA Tech and couldn't hang on as a starter and eventually got benched.
