Was the Tech "Fumble" a TD?

You can't complain about officiating when you lose because that's just "sour grapes" or whatever. The only time you can legitimately complain about the officiating is when you win, really.

and the SEC is going to do exactly jackshit about it. all you can do is hope the ACC gives us the same treatment

We can campaign with our own AD to take a stand on demanding 3rd party refs for the game going forward.

The bigger issue to complain about is Smelter getting a blown acl due to the refs allowing play to continue after he was clearly down. I don't blame the dwag for tackling him a second time since no whistle had blown. That is on the refs.

I agree that a major stink needs to be raised about how this game was officiated. The SEC knows that the GT-UGA game is the one most needed for conference superiority. So they sent their dirtiest crew to the game.

Give me a break. The refs simply blew the call. It wasn't some vast conspiracy by a dirty SEC crew. We won. Move on.

We have to deal with it. Time for Waller to step up big time. Time for him to have a Demaryius Thomas FSU 2009 type game.

it's naive to think conference supplied crews don't bias games that affect their conference's strength. Their livelihood is literally affected. It's not a vast conspiracy, it's commonsense and commonplace. It's why neutral refs are used at bowl games and have been for decades.

That play reminded me of the fumble in 2006 by Reggie Ball in Athens. It's at 1:13:00 in the video:

He clearly looked like he was down before the fumble, I remember that game, and Gators beating the criminoles that year too, you can see the score pop up!

You didn't imply bias in your post. You flatly accused them of being dirty.

Having bias as an official is being dirty.

Those dirty ref baaaastards!

Seriously tho, they were crooks, and to think we still won, hallelujah!

from up in the 300 level seats, I saw what looked like a second football appear from under the jersey of a ugag player and handed to #5 swann (let's call this one the "pristine football). And at the same time the REAL football was instantly deflated by a puncture made by another ugag player. if you listen to the ugag radio broadcast, and slow it down to microseconds, you can actually hear the "whoosh" of air escaping the real football.

well there ya go. Biased. Dirty. Cheaters.

Never ascribe to malice what can more easily be explained by incompetence. It was a bad call because they sat on the whistle too long. That's all there is to it.

It doesn't freaking matter people!!! In spite of SEC refs cooking the game and calling against us, we managed to persevere and win. Much more proud of that than I would be an extra 7 point swing in the scoreboard.
