probably this week

rumor is VT at GT will be a Thursday night game

I want GT vs Duke on Thursday.

I want America to witness a Red Wedding...CPJ Style.

It's such BS that VT keeps getting these Thursday night games in Atlanta. Extra prep time and smaller crowds. From what I heard, VT requested a Thursday night home game at Lane this season and we requested not to have one. So what does Swofford do?

Seriously, the one favorable schedule we get (2014) and look at what we do with it. Probably play 3/4 teams coming off byes now that they're all scared again and will be requesting more time - I think FSU had 4 or 5 conference opponents coming off byes in 2014.

"It is what it is. We've just gotta go out and play - we can only control what we can. We'll leave the rest up to them to figure out."

VPI has played 1 Saturday game here since they joined the league. Interestingly, we are 1-0 on Saturday, but 0-4 on Thursday.

2005: L
2007: L
2009: W (Saturday)
2011: L
2013: L

Game will probably be in September too, by VT request. That way they can spend all offseason prepping for option offenses and not lose 6 games before they play us.

Guys they have Scott Loeffler now. We only have to score two touchdowns to win this game no matter the day.

Fortunately it looks like they're knocking out all of their non conference games in September.

Although we already know they'd rather lose to Furman and East Carolina than us, so they'll at least get a few weeks of uninterrupted prep.

Weird. I could've sworn that the '09 game was on a Thursday night.

Either way, now that our players have the hype machine of the big four turned off, I think we'll bode much better against them in the future.

In typical Stingtalk fashion, a thread about the ACC schedule being released is now discussing the big 4.

Bank it:

GT has more teams with 2 weeks prep time against us than any other team in the league.
