Titans fire Whisenhunt

This is OK here, because rampant speculation is about to take place about which college programs will get a new coach.

What a time to be alive!

In all seriousness, there are a lot of older alums out there who are probably seeing Whisenhunt as the answer to our prayers. I'm just not convinced an alum with NFL experience is the way we need to go.

Bud Adams is the problem.

Would love to see Whisenhunt come home...

Assume you mean to coach?

If so, not saying he would not be great, but what are your reasons (because he went to GT is not valid. Ross, Cremins, Hall, Morris, Blackmon all did not go to or coach at a school like GT before)

John, in all seriousness, what do you think is the answer for GT as much as you would care to share.

Thx.

Paul's not going anywhere for now, he's had a lot of injuries but I do put him to blame for the poor OL play, Sewak needs to go and you need two line coaches for this offense. Last year was great because of getting to the second level and this year they played like they did in '13. I also look at effort as I've gotten to watch more games and I think it is sub par at best. You're going to miss assignments I get that but if you half ass it that's what bugs me.

As for coaches, and this is my personal opinion. I would like to see either Ken or Glen Spencer back here. Both are great recruiter 1st but I think they are great coaches as well. 2nd, going to school here I think they would work well with the hill and still recruit high moral kids. Again, just my opinion. GT is and I think always will be a stepping stone for an outsider because of the grind with academics and Bobby Ross is a great example of that.

Any chance PJ would bring him in as an OL Coach/Passing Game Co-Ordinator? What would it take to be effective? A QB that is taller than 6-0 and is hard to bring down (not just a blazer) like Marquise Williams, Jacoby Brisset, Tim Tebow etc.?

Ken Whisenhunt is what you get if Chan Gailey and Jim Cauldwell have a baby.

Bringing him to coach football at Tech is a terrible idea.

Whis has a career 4-2 postseason record.

But whoever thinks these mobile college QBs can make the transition to NFL deserve to be fired.
