Richts results may be damning, iyho, but he owns our ass.

I've never reported someone's first post before. Congratulations, mutt. Hope your trailer burns down and takes you, your sister and your waterhead spawn with it.

Yeah, and to be honest, losing to any of Gailey's teams would have been a bad loss, and 5-2 is about what he should do against CPJ, given the talent discrepancy. UGA recruits top 5 talent consistently - Richt should be beating top 10 teams more often than not, and beating top 25 teams almost all of the time. I love Georgia Tech, but if Richt's crowning achievement is that his top 5 talent team has dominated a team that with talent in the 40-60 range, that kind of speaks for itself.

Richt should be measured on how he performs against Florida, Alabama, USCe in the good years, etc, and he has gotten his ass kicked by those teams, especially when it mattered most.

Also, öööö him.

One mutt down to go with Wracer's sacrifice. I feel it, folks. Dodd is with us.

Richt's situation has done exactly what I didn't think it would do, it's come down to our game. We win, I think he's toast. If they beat us, even if it's on some bizarre fluke involving swamp gas and weather balloons, I don't think there's any chance they fire him.

Thing is, with all these other coaching positions opening up, I think UGA might be too scared to fire him no matter what.

The cooler heads at the top realize this I am sure. There are potentially 20 coaching positions opening this fall and a significant percentage of them are better positions than our rival to the East. Now is not the year to be on the market.

Interesting thought. I think He's one of the few coaches that can name where he wants to go and LSU isn't that much of a step to cause him to jump.

Plus, his wife ööööing players from the rival team would fit right into louisiana.

Good point. I don't know what his current mindset is. On one hand, he's won a MNC and can be at FSU for the foreseeable future. He's built his program up to what he wants it to be. At LSU, he has a bigger budget and a clean slate on all the police shenanigans, but will have to deal with them even moreso in Baton Rouge. He's getting paid regardless.

On the flip side, Richt will have plenty of teams that would be parallel moves or promotions calling him. He has to know how hot his chair will be if he stays, even with a win over GT and a bowl win.

Intriguing! The UGA AA may be forced to give him a raise to keep him and maintain the stability of the program.

I love the way these "boosters" always think that THEIR school will be the "top" job. I guess the fact that USC, Michigan (although they eventually got Harbaugh it was far from a done deal) and all other schools that never end up with a better hire just further prove that LSU is the best program in the world.

Tell me why is LSU job better than Tenn or SC?

It seems to me that Les Miles or Saben made LSU a top program. I expect they will slip back to reality when they kick Les to the curb.

Interesting but not surprised. Spoke to a huge LSU fan this weekend, that claimed to be really good friends with a big time booster. He mentioned that despite the outcome of the game this weekend, word was Miles was probably done. You can bet that the LSU folks already have a replacement ready to assume the reins of the 'Bayou Bengals'

Jon Gruden is my guess.

LSU is not going to do better than Les Miles.

How quickly does Les land somewhere else? Or does his $15 million buyout preclude him from working elsewhere?

How many coaches have changed in the SEC West since Saban went to Bama?
