Can we talk about how retarted it is to raise $15million to fire your coach when the school is on the brink of bankruptcy?

LSU has lost three consecutive games for the first time since 1999 and three consecutive games by 10 or more points for the first time since 1966.

However, LSU will never be Alabama.

How many coaches have changed in the SEC West since Saban went to Bama?

LSU x 0 (unless Miles is actually out)
Ole Miss x 1???

Yeah, and to be honest, losing to any of Gailey's teams would have been a bad loss, and 5-2 is about what he should do against CPJ, given the talent discrepancy. UGA recruits top 5 talent consistently - Richt should be beating top 10 teams more often than not, and beating top 25 teams almost all of the time. I love Georgia Tech, but if Richt's crowning achievement is that his top 5 talent team has dominated a team that with talent in the 40-60 range, that kind of speaks for itself.

Richt should be measured on how he performs against Florida, Alabama, USCe in the good years, etc, and he has gotten his ass kicked by those teams, especially when it mattered most.

Also, öööö him.

+1 to all that. No coach in college football has done less with more than Richt. I believe if he didn't thump his Bible so often, he'd have been run out of town 5 years ago but gets a pass because he's seen as a "good Christian".

Even that idiot Les Miles fell ass-backwards into a national championship. Like all mutt fans, players, and coaches, Richt's a loser and a jackass.

Les's grass budget was getting out of control, look for him on the green pastures of the sleeping giant in Florida... UCF

On the flip side, Richt will have plenty of teams that would be parallel moves or promotions calling him. He has to know how hot his chair will be if he stays, even with a win over GT and a bowl win.
Richt might be over being the head football coach anywhere, and just want to do something else for a while.

You're not seeing the big picture. Amidoingthisrite?

Seriously, the $ in college football and sports in general has gotten out of hand. The athletic programs have forgotten why they're their in the first place. Dynamics of it all is beyond retarted. I love the game and GT,but no way am I going to pull a wreck'mm, slash my wrist, and blame it on college football, Les Miles, Paul Johnson, or the serpent.

Our priorities are way of wack! Oh yeah, it's only 15million.

A&M had 3 coaches, 5 if you include the interim coaches.

Ark had 4, 5 if you include the interim.

Miles in on the decline and has been for years. The last 5 years he hasn't beaten Saban at all, and is 13-10 in SEC. If LSU is looking to win it all, you have to go thru Saban and maybe 2 or 3 other good SEC teams. You'll need someone better than Saban. Good luck with that.

To them it is ONLY 15 mill.

And just like GT, it is separate from the university budget.
