My view of GT is strange particularly for a "dwag," but I watched nearly every Tech game this year and feel it was just one of those years when the perfect storm happened. The team was far better than its actual record. 1) Crazy number of injuries. 2) Schedule harder even than it seemed at first; Pitt, UNC etc were surprises. Someone will say the good teams win the close ones. But it's hard to do when you're starting so many freshmen. Someone here pointed out that the young RBs weren't capable of blocking on the edge, and I think that's very true--something I didn't anticipate. Coaching wasn't the issue. Johnson showed what was possible in '14, and this season to me was an outlier. Next year will be very different.
