So wanting to be better is bad?
If you're immature or not emotionally stable enough to handle the disappointment that often comes with that, yes.

It's weird to see same record for Gailey and OLeary when you add them up.
Johnson 14-23 (11-21 vs "Big 4")
Gailey 7-15 (7-13 vs "Big 4")
OLeary 7-15 (7-8 vs "Big 4")
CPJ basically has slightly better record against these five. Over the next two seasons, if that record creeps to Gailey/OLeary levels, he is out the door. I think most would agree with that.
If we don't make a bowl next season, he is probably out the door. (Easier schedule)
Otherwise, I would extend him with 1-1 against uga and something like at least 2-4 against Clemson, VT and Miami. 3-3 would make the decision easier.
As long as he didn't lose to WF with an Orange Bowl bid on the line or have a player of his lose out on the Heisman, it doesn't matter...
...
...wait, what?
It's a bit misleading to compare O'Leary's record without mentioning that his 0-7 record vs FSU was against a program that was a perennial top 5 program at the time.
Chan and Paul have not had a perennial top 5 program they've had to face. Paul has to face Clemson now and they appear like they're going to be tough for a while, but part of his tenure was against baby Bowden and Dabo in his early years. Likewise, Chan had UGA during the first years of Richt, when they were at their best. But even they were never a top 5 program every single year like FSU was during O'Leary's tenure.
WTF? We should blame O'Leary for his player not winning the Heisman? Despite the fact that a player of his finished as runner up for the Heisman....the highest finish ever by a Tech player?

No. Bigcrying about a fairly well respected and reasonably successful coach that isn't even close to the top of the list of things holding the program back is very bad, though.
I think it's close to the top. And pointing out stats that show that he's not quite the Genius many of his disciples proclaim isn't bigcrying...except to those who like the coach and his offense more than they like GT itself.
But then...those 'fans' can öööö right off.
But if you are able to handle it and just point out stats that show that CPJ isn't the Greatest Coach in the History of All Sports, then it's OK?
You didn't pass the test. Looks like you're going to have to kill yourself.
Nobody is saying that. I like CPJ, but you're a bigcrying moron if you think a school with a tiny fan base (apparently filled with whiny ass crybabies), that shot itself in the foot by leaving a to-be powerhouse conference, that has a tiny ass stadium, that gets öööö on by the state government at every possible turn, whose alumni leave the state at an absurd rate, whose school is way more invested in becoming the premier engineering school in the world rather than the football powerhouse of the region, that has 40% grad students in an already relatively small enrollment, doesn't have bigger problems then a coach who nobody could argue whose talents aren't in the upper third of his peers. Oh also, our athletic association is bush league. That doesn't help, either.
Do other fanbases have this amount of crying? Why do you people even watch football? Clearly, you really DONT like GT football as much as I do if you can let a freakishly unlucky and bad season get your panties in sub a large bunch.
Calm down, Chachi. No one's crying. You disciples just need to realize that not everyone worships CPJ the way his fanboys do.
From reading your little pathetic rant, the only one truly getting upset is you. You clearly have major issues - you should walk off a cliff immediately. Kinda like our program did in 2015.
See, I didn't want to watch one more second of Georgia Tech football after Thanksgiving weekend. So this works for me.
"Uh uh, you're upset"
Nobody is asking you to worship PJ, just to stop crying like a little bitch.

no, wanting to be better is required
but acting like an irrational dumbass whiney bitch because of it, that is bad
just firing every coach that ends up with similar results doesnt get you anywhere, as the data shows.
but perhaps we can hire Gandalf, and he can put a spell on a bunch of 5* talents so that they really want to go to a hard school where they might fail out and not get swamped by adoring and plentiful coeds looking for a future playa; and then magically he will fix their grades to make them eligible and then we will RETURN TO THE GLORY!!!
if a school like Texas, that has all the money in the world to throw at the problem, all the recruiting base they would need, etc, if they struggle and then how hard do you think Georgia Tech has to work to be where it is?
you are a moron, dude
