Calvin contemplating retirement

He might be in for a shock. He plays for Detroit. I don't think he knows how to work in January.

if he does can kiss the hall good bye imo. He still needs a few more years I think; playing for Detroit hurts him.

I think it's a ploy to keep Caldwell or be traded. This has been done before by a lot of players. Smart move on his part, Lions trade him for multiple draft picks and he gets to go where he can play for a championship. I would be shocked if he retired that's a lot of freakin' money to give up. Many players of the game don't play for the love of it anymore, too much money involved.

Wish he would get out of Loserville. He is elite, but has never played for a winning franchise.

Me too. It's a football tragedy. Imagine him with Peyton, Brady, Brees, etc. Instead he had Reggie in college and the Lions in the NFL.

Detroit does this to elite players. Look at Barry Sanders. Easily the best RB in NFL history and should be holding the all time rushing record if it wasn't for Detroit sapping his energy. The entire organization is a vampire.

Barry left because of Bobby Ross unfortunately

Ploy or not, I hope he plays a few more and locks up a HOF spot for sure.

ST tailgate in Canton when it happens.

Yeah, he needs to get outta there and see what it's like to play for another organization. Could bring his excitement for the game back.

Calvin should come to the Redskins.

I would be sad if he were to retire. I feel like he really fell off the last couple seasons. Bad injuries. It has to suck waking up in pain every day. I don't envy the NFL life, but I don't pity it either.
