Adding a second offensive-line coach has not paid immediate dividends for Georgia Tech. Coach Paul Johnson left little doubt about his frustration with the line’s play in the team’s second scrimmage of spring practice, held Saturday morning at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“Something’s going to happen,” he said. “Not going to watch that again. Sick of it.”

There's one common denominator among all this poor o-line play, coach....
 
Hope they're still not flopping belly first like fish. They need to sustain a block like a man.

Couldn't agree more. Back in the Gailey era, our pro style blocking made our offense dominant. When PJ came in, our offense may have statistically better, but we know that's a lie. Shoot, they said we had the highest offensive efficiency ever measured in 2014, but statistics can be manipulated to say anything. We all know the truth - cut blocking does not work and our offense was terrible.

Yeah and then 2015 happened.
 
We are definitely short of scholarship bodies on the OL this Spring.

I'm still convinced that there is some tell in our line that was exposed by the Notre Dame "extra coach" paid specifically to stop our offense. And it made the rounds.

Too many weird changes to things involving play-calling, cadence, etc.

I'm hopeful we've resolved the issue, but I doubt it. Everyone wants CPJ out of the conference, no ACC team would spill the beans on it.
 
Well, our OL will continue to see a lot of shifting and stunting designed to cause confusion with our option offense. So, our coaching brain trust had better figure out how to develop our OL to deal with it.

I wonder how many times CPJ has been able to block a stunting defensive lineman?
 
They need to block the guy in front of them. They need to stop this crap with letting guys go unblocked to get to a guy in the second level. What ends of happening is the guy that is cut loose blows up the play in the backfield.

If the defense is doing a lot of presnap stunting as a matter of course, we need to be able to run straight at them and take advantage of their weak stances.

So what you're saying is that they should stop running the option, then? Because that's why they leave guys unblocked.
