That too. It is really mediocre. Pretty much expensive pizza on par with Pizza Hut.

No offense - people gonna pizza as they want - but mother of god; saying that the unholy shit that Pizza(sic) Hut sells is on a par with MM is ..
*loss for words*

I agree that MM is expensive and it is overrated - as any chain-pizza will generally be - and I have certainly had better pizza. But MM, located in the south and being available in the 70's and 80's, should never be thought of as the same as Pizza(sic) Hut.

Your statement has made me curious though (and it is the offseason); what is good pizza in your opinion?

On the original question, as best I can remember, I don't think anyone -- including even the coaches -- knows whether Griffin can compete until they see how far along he is when fall practice starts. Seems like the last thing I saw wasn't sounding very positive, but that might have changed over the summer.

Classic JJ to be hating on stuff other people like. I like Mellow Mushroom. I like their distinctive crust and sauce, and their specialty pizzas. I went to Georgia Tech, so I can afford to buy one whenever I feel like it. I also like a good NY style greasy pie with the crust nice and thin. I even like Pizza Hut thin and crispy. I only eat pizza maybe once a month, so I try to work these all in as I can. Good to have variety in my opinion.

In my advancing years, I'm shying away from the heavy crusted stuff. The Neapolitan style stuff is not as heavy, like Antico, but talk about pricey. There is Sapora di Napoli in Decatur that is just as good but not quite as $$$. Plus, you feel safer in Decatur than on Hemphill.

You can like whatever you want. Just because you like mediocre expensive doughy pizza from MM doesn't mean I have to like it. I am similar to LongforDodd. I prefer a thin crust pizza nowadays. The little Pizza Hut nearby (delivery/carry out only location) makes a fantastic thin crust pizza. The last one I ordered a few weeks back was a large thin crust, extra sauce, chicken, bacon, mushrooms, red onions, roma tomatoes. It was delicious. Of course, I could have driven to Mellow Mushroom and paid an extra $15 for one.

If you want expensive pizza, check out the Old 4th Ward (O4F) Pizza place. They opened a spot in Duluth. They only have large rectangular pizzas, and the Grandma Pie I think it was called was $35.

Most expensive pizza I buy is when we go to Big Pie In The Sky and get that big ass pizza - which isn't too often
