We Could Lose to Mercer

I went to a Mercer game late last year.
They're.... really, really, ööööing bad.
I don't think this game will tell us much of anything, unless we struggle with them. If so.... we ain't winning another.

He did that against Georgia Southern and uga in 2014.

BC may be the best defense we face all year but they're probably the öööötiest offense we face all year and we still let them go 350 yards against us. Take the turnovers away and you're looking at possibly 28-10 in the 4th. I don't know if our offense is good enough to win shoot-outs.

Keep in mind that our defense had to do all this by coming back on the field 5x after 3&outs by our offense.
Not a bad job, considering.....

Honestly guys, after a 3-9 season, i'll take this much needed victory. I'll be there Saturday grilling hot dogs at the tailgate then drunkenly cheering Tech to victory until I get a mild hangover headache around 3rd quarter, then somebody will pass me a flask and I will get back up and cheer some more.

Here's how it's gonna go:

We come out of the gates HOT and break Mercer's will in about 10 minutes. We're up 42-0 at half and coast the rest of the way to finish up 63-7. We (fans) get all overconfident and say outlandish things. 13-0 baybee, Da I Is Bak, etc. Then we play Vanderbilt next week and regression to the mean sets in.

I'm just interested to see what the mean is this year. IMO it depends on establishing the dive. We actually looked pretty good passing against BC, and I thought we did okay outside, considering that they were not really respecting our dive. If we can get Mills/Marshall going, look out, because we've got some weapons on offense this year.

We have no chance. None. My advice would be to go ahead and just stat working on Vanderbilt. Like today. No need to even look at film on us. :biggrinangel:

We could probably not practice all week and still hang 60 on you macon losers.

Wait, Mercer has a football team?

I thought they only beat us in basketball. Now we have to lose to them in football too?

They have one of the Lamb boys coaching them. Just look how well brother Hal at Calhoun did against Cartersville this past weekend!

I went to Macon recently and it was like I turned back the clock one year for each of the 45 miles that it took to get there.
