We still have kickoffs, point afters, free kicks...Forget field goals from here on out. Touchdowns or bust.

We can't just have a lame kicker and say "eh we just won't kick".
I actually love this idea and at least it gives us consistency, which is key. If you can't rely on your kicker to even make easy ones, ditching the kicking all together allows you to game plan going for it on 4th down every time you're in the redzone. We could also just practice onside kicks and do those exclusively as well if our kick coverage and defense doesn't improve. I'm not even joking. If Marshall stays healthy, this might actually be our best option going forward.Forget field goals from here on out. Touchdowns or bust.

That settles it then, no point afters. Two point conversions or bust.
Don't forget penalty kicks, offside throw-ins and corner kicks.
so it's now Madden2017 tournament mode? That settles it then, no point afters. Two point conversions or bust.
Hmmm .. interesting .....Can you imagine if after a long tie game, they just did field goals until someone missed?
The girl won the Kia Soul kicked better and farther.
Then it would be highschool rugby. Can you imagine if after a long tie game, they just did field goals until someone missed?
Shawn IS someone's son and he has taken the loss personally even though there were other factors that contributed to the loss( fumble that lead to UT TD). He's a good kid, from a good family who has worked hard to be where he is and will do what it take to rise above his last performance. He's someone's kid and I try to remember that...but then I think about the thousands of hours of practice, lifting, studying and otherwise preparing done by the other kids on the team. I think about them and the sacrifices they make. The coaches, their hard work. The fans, their time and effort not to mention their money and support.
Did he do everything he could? Did he prepare as hard as he could and was he the best option available? If yes, then he shouldn't feel bad. If no, he should feel like crap and should go to work and make sure he never lets down all of us ever again. I think you get a few chances to really make a difference to that many people's lives, you better prepare like it. I doubt he did that based on performance. He can't undo what he did but he can go work his ass off and if he can't fix it he should go tell the coaches that he can't do it and to find someone else
You are right of course and us fans tend to forget this. With that being said, the kid kicked 5 extra points and they seemed to be pretty centered and deep enough. If he had use the same technique on the FG's, at least the second one, would have been no problem. Instead he let the pressure of the moment get in his head and tried to kick it too hard. Kind of like hitting a golf shot. Hope he can bounce back and still contribute some positives.Shawn IS someone's son and he has taken the loss personally even though there were other factors that contributed to the loss( fumble that lead to UT TD).
