I got this from a poster on the hive.

Quote from his coach's radio show regarding playing against GT...

"but it scares you when you do that, it scares you in a game. They do a lot of high low. It's dangerous football. You watch inside, you watch our nose tackles there's times where a center is kinda hitting high and you get a guy coming in from the other side which is really illegal...umm...but they never call it so..umm...I don't quite understand how that happens"

Pretty sure we have a new contender for ownership of that Athlon quote about how "dirty" CPJ's team play.

As a refresher...

“When you play Georgia Tech, you have to be ready for a fistfight. They’re just a nasty bunch."

"Offensively, they’re trying to use an ability to hurt your defensive linemen, secondary, everybody, with their scheme and the way they block. They really push the edge of the rules. They figure you can’t call a high-low block every play, so they’ll do it 60 times. That’s the first thing you have to fight against, and they have a great plan and you have to just try to stay one step ahead of the plan until the end of the game."

"The system stays the same. They need a guy at quarterback that can make good decisions and is a tough runner and then throw it over the top every once in a while, and they’ll have to find that guy with (Justin) Thomas leaving. Their backup last year (Matthew Jordan) was a bigger guy they used in goal-line stuff, but he wasn’t as much of an open-field threat, so it’ll be interesting to see what direction they go."

"They had a freshman back (Dedrick Mills) that is going to be pretty good, but other than that, their personnel is probably towards the bottom of our league.”

Ya, that's him.

He's just trying to influence the refs mindset in calling the game.

Supposedly he complains a lot about WRs pushing off. I guess that's his excuse for why his defense blows when they brought him in to be a defensive guru.
Oklahoma State's WR's must have pushed Pitt's defenders off the field and out of the stadium.

Just another vintage in the growing collection of

VT always got their first quarter chop call so it worked for Beamer. He is just trying to get the ear of any ref to get that one critical call.
