Inspire Ted roof.

This confused the hell out of me for a moment.
"How did we have that many sacks in 2007?" I thought. Then I thought, "oh yeah, when we had 3 NFL D-lineman."

I hate Al Groh even more now.

Pretty sure this guy was somewhat responsible for it.

I've often wondered what would have happened if CPJ would have kept Tenuta as DC.

No, he was brought in to fix an defense that had been killed. (I know it is hard to keep track, think "Wolf position")
This gave me a flashback to 2009 Miami game watching as Derrick Morgan dropped into coverage on a 3rd and 5.

All I want is to not get a headache at the mention of our DC's name...

TD Roof did a good job finishing the tackles. A lot of times in the past few years our guys will get to the QB but whiff.

He also looked like he wanted to house the opening KO.

Should the D play with a more aggressive style? Roof often plays a bend don't break between the 20s. Is that optimal with our O? Is the thinking that the other team will press and mistakes due to the pressure of generally fewer possessions and that our O will put up points? Or, should the D take more risks? Then again, Roof could be coaching the D as CPJ wants it.

To get off the field THIS def has to take chances. We had at least 3 times to stop on 3rd down with fairly short (4-5 yds to go).We didn't go close man to man cover on any of those plays. Our "hope they drop it" didn't work AGAIN.Admittedly you take a chance but his slow death def doesn't work enough.

Only gave up 10 points, forcing 3 and outs after turnovers...and good tackling. Well done today.

Outside of the first drive, great game overall. Can't ask much more than that. Coach has something to chew on (ball control with the O) still pulled out the W. I'm happy.

The defense looked really, really good after the first drive. Was the difference simply that we were able to get consistent pressure with our D-line? Our secondary was making solid tackles all game long, but that's nothing new - we knew that was the strength of our defense.

Best tackling I've seen from a Tech defense in quite some time.
