Has the CPJ era ‘Jumped The Shark?’

and how many of the 10 years before he arrived equaled his best year?

how about his second best year?

You're arguing against a point I'm not making. I've already said I prefer him over Gailey and think he'll probably do better than his eventual successor. He gives us the occasional win over UGA, which beats the Gailey era, and the occasional stellar year like 2014, with some slightly above and slightly below .500 years scattered in between.

I typically don't post in these threads but I'm pretty bummed.

I just don't understand CPJs decision making at certain points in this game. Seems like benson was destroying people and we tried to throw every other play.

Taquan has shown regression in reading the option since second half Miami.

Put in JayJones and see what he can do the rest of the season.

But he wont
No, no, no... We don't need another 180 lb QB in. Lucas Johnson.

He also has surpassed the two coaches before Gailey.. one won a gator bowl with the dude who should have won the heisman.. one destroyed the program. so we can go all the way back to 1990... With PJ we are gonna have 1 stellar year, 1 average year, and a poor year.. wash rinse repeat. At GT we can do that.

Personally I'd be willing to give him one more season. If he has 3 losing seasons out of 4, then I think a change would be justified.

Hard to get used to our offense looking that bad after 10 years. I agree that institutional barriers exist that prevent consistent 10 win seasons, but we shouldn't look like öööö against the likes of UVa.

What point are you trying to make? Welsh teams were better than the team that beat us today.

That was tough to watch. Roof is not as bad as some of you insist. CPJ is a good coach but is caught in a tough situation with his QB who has hit a wall. TM is clearly a great playmaker at QB but he's very inconsistent with his reads and throws wounded ducks that occasionally land in a WRs hands. I'm sure going to the backup QB will make this offense worse even though I'd love to see a QB platoon at this point. We've lost our identity with TM and like it or not, this team wins with offense. We dont want to ask the D to protect a lead. Rather, we just run the clock out and dont take that chance. We win with game control and frustrating the other team into trying to score every possession due to our offensive efficiency. TM just isnt giving us that identity as the QB.

well this is pretty revealing. we may not win another game this season. we just got manhandled on the line by the Zima drinkers. stuffed. our AB can't even throw a pass cause he can't find time to throw it. well we finally tried to pass more.

we can't kick off anymore and not give the other team the ball on their side of the field. we need to practice covering kickoffs for 2 solid hours Monday. our secondary is supposed to be our strength this year on D but we can't cover wideouts man to man without giving up touchdowns.

There isn't one mexican in atlanta that can kick the ball into the end zone?

Pretty much. My disappointment is more with what I thought we could be based on his first couple years. Had we started slow like most of the "experts" predicted and saw steady improvement, I'd probably have a more positive outlook on things.

Just wait until he gets his own guys.

We didn't win for 16 years or whatever before CPJ. I think the last win was 1990.

The SEC is about to fire half of their coaches, and that's with oversigning, lower academics, etc. CPJ beat Georgia two out of last three years, and won 9+ games two out of last three years. I don't know what kind of magic you guys think would happen with another coach.

TM has regressed (or what was asked of him has increased), but with how our oline is playing, I don't think anyone young is going to play much better. We needed Jordan in this game.
