Roof to NC State

PUN for FUN---guess some of you are tone deaf.---LOL.--and a little SAX wouldn't hurt the offense either. The bottom line is that BOTH sides of the line could use a little synchronisation.

The "gist" of all i said previously is that Roof had to use what he was provided with. RECRUITING is the KEY.--as many on here have noted. (plus i don't give the offense a total "pass" for this season)

Really if you could have given the offense 1 pass this season, we could have won against UT, UVa, or Miami you pass hording bastard.

Apparently reading comprehension is NOT your forte. IF we were "face to face" and you called me a "bastard" your dentist would have a LOT of reconstruction work to do on your face--not a threat. a PROMISE. --now respond with some more "intelligent language--but--i don't converse with such as you. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Thanks for the reply. I don't feel serious enough about this to argue, and I also don't know Tech football better than a Tech fan. I try to watch all your games, and my impression was that the defense was tougher than it was under Roof's predecessors, and over the season I do think the stats bear that out. I have no counter to a game like Duke, which is an outlier but it happened. Yet I also see how Tech played against Clemson. Your points are well taken; the only point I have I'd defend strongly is that you have to recruit much better, in quality and depth. A certain amount of the late season results look a lot like simple fatigue that you handle by playing more people through the year.

Fair enough....and all kidding aside, Merry Christmas.

The irony is strong with this one...

Maybe we need to hire a squad of recently graduated college players who played in passing offenses - QB, WR's, TE's.....pay them to scrimmage against our defense. Rotate the paid squad each season or so. Recruit them. Pay them enough that they could pay for grad school if they want to go here for grad school. They won't be players on the team, but scrimmage coaches - not a scout team

One other thing. I'm retracting my point about Tech's "total defense" stat at #32--after, of all things, reading Mark Bradley. He used defensive efficiency which is a more honest stat, since Johnson's offense does "flatter" the defense, as he says, by keeping it off the field. The efficiency stat backs up what you're saying. Lies, damn lies and statistics! Here's to Johnson finding a gem for the next guy, and Merry Christmas back atcha.

I thought about this a few weeks ago, and I am curious if there is a rule in place to prevent college teams or players from scrimmaging non-collegiate players. There are tons of very good football players who aren't quite NFL caliber, at least not yet, and also aren't smart enough to get decent employment, they just want to play football. Practicing against them has got to be far more effective than practicing against freshmen and walkons who have school and another offense to learn, on top of other commitments to balance.

Geritol works wonders. Hiking and hunting in these Colorado mountains tends to strengthen "old" bones and musculature. I never said i wouldn't "suffer" damage but my generation takes "offense" at being called such derogatory terms. I don't wear depends or panties. I "apologize" if my retort offended some of y'alls sensitivities.
