ajc says 2 more dawgs go to jail

You really have to be a total idiot to get busted for alcohol related stuff in Athens. Anyone who's been would agree.

:laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

Time to get Ed Tolley on the phone.

This should go on the back of a GT T-Shirt....almost makes it sound like THEY JUST CAN'T HELP THEMSELVES....like it's UNAVOIDABLE....and I quote...Athens -- The first clear signal the offseason has begun for Georgia football has arrived: Two Bulldogs football players were arrested and jailed early Sunday morning. LOL LOL LOL....I THINK I AM GONNA SIG That

I can't believe Sonny hasn't reprimanded the urinal nad lickers for saying that.

Funny...isn't John...couldn't believe it myself...expected something more like a "well kids will be kids..." or "false imprisionment"...but a GT fan couldn't have written it any better....

"The Athens Banner-Herald reported Munzenmaier was arrested after he was seen on an Athens street waving his arms. According to the incident report, the officer slammed on his brakes to avoid running over him. The officer asked Munzenmaier for his ID and noticed a strong smell of alcohol. Munzenmaier said he thought he was flagging down a taxi."

HAhaha. That's outstanding.

Imagine the look on his face when an police car pulled up & not a taxi cab.

Yeah he got picked up alright...but the cab fare was $750... compliments of Clarke cty...bet the officers had fun retelling that story...

Wonder if Richt gonna have to step up the discipline consequences for things like this...as Barney Fife would say "Gotta nip it in the bud!" or it will just roll down hill...

They'll probably take care of this with the usual "in-house discipline."

OTOH, Richt could be a hard-*** and set a precedent by suspending these rogues for their tough opener with Georgia Southern.

yes...looks like he really regrets his decision, takes responsibility for his own actions & has a lot of respect for the officer in uniform....not to mention he could have gotten run over by the patrol car if the officer would've been unable to stop in time...it should all be rather embarassing....but sounds like it will be just suspension from some meaningless games.

rofl.

Athletic Association policy calls for a suspension of 10 percent of the season for a first-time alcohol incident, something that was on Munzenmaier's mind when he thanked the arresting officer from Athens-Clarke County for "costing him two games," according to the incident report.

After the comment about losing two games, the officer asked Munzenmaier what sport he played.

"Look at me," the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Duluth native said, according the report. "What sport do you think I play?"

Munzenmaier told the officer it was obvious that "we" have it "out for them," according to the report, and that police have a point system for athletes. The officer told Munzenmaier he had no idea that he was an athlete when he stopped his vehicle, nor did he care. Munzenmaier later used an expletive to tell the officer to shut his mouth because he didn't want to make small talk, according to the report.

Drunk math or UGA math, you be the judge.
