The problem with the ROCK ROCK ROCK defense of Tenuta was that if they had a good QB, they could beat it. The problem with the prevent D is that there was no pressure if the other team was willing to go 5 yrds a play. This played against our game plan of controlling clock on O.

A lot worse. I would say the defense under Roof was better than it's ever been before under CPJ. Which admittedly is not a very high bar.

Tech has the fewest sacks of any Power 5 conference team since the start of 2014 and has more sacks than only TWO teams in all of Division 1 over the last 4 seasons. Groh and Wommack’s were bad, but that’s all Roof.

We have the feeling that the @GeorgiaTechFB CBTN Strength Profile might look a bit different in coming years with @CoachNateWoody running the #YellowJacket defense.

You would think given the third down statistics that we would've had a better year, but yikes on some of the other accounts.

I think we will be better. We had a lot of experience in the secondary last year, but I don't think their play was outstanding. Many of them played early in their careers because we were so weak at DB. If we will attack more and get some QB pressure you will see how that helps DB's greatly. Why not be optimistic?

The real answer is no improvement in ppg, BUT the other team will score quicker which will give CPJ the ball quicker which will put the other team's defense back out on the field quicker giving them less time to rest and regroup so we have more death marches leading to opponent's tired defenses late in the game and that means we will eat up the clock late to hold onto the win or we will drive down and score the winning points with just a few seconds left so that we win the Coastal and all of our offensive players make All-ACC because of their ridiculous statistics built up while running 90+ plays per game leading to the fans bitching and moaning again about how bad the defense is and if CPJ could just hire a decent defensive coach we would make the playoffs.
