but sheesh, our OL play was horrendous during the first half. D lineman were turned loose, looked like several missed assignments, and there just didn’t seem to be much fire in their pants.

We HAVE to play better up front if we are going to put up additional wins from here on out. Maybe the improvement from week 1 to week 2 will be obvious in Tampa next Saturday.

Doesn't this offense take a while to gel every single season? Not a matter of experience, just needs a lot of reps, or so I've been under the impression. The two really good seasons in the last few years caught fire late in the year.

Yes I agree with fridgemover. If we win 8 games, then it will have been a good season.

CPJ is 10-0 in home openers but we did not look like the well-oiled machine we have looked like in other home openers (when we started the season at home).

We'll know more after next Saturday.

GSC/GSU 1985 - HC Monken was many times 2-1 in there first 3 games before the offense opened up. GSUs spread option really scored more in the 2nd half than the first when the opponents defense started to break down.

I do remember home openers where GT scored 70, I think. Still, seems to me like, other than when a lot of injuries hit, the option gets tighter as the season goes on. Some of these opening opponents are a bad measuring stick either way.

I know you wanted better against A, and PJ was upset with the offense in the first half. I didn't see the end of the game.

First downs, GT -25 , A- 10

Total Yards - GT 543, " A" 146
Rushing - GT 429, "A" 77
Passing - "GT" 9-18 for 104 yards , "A" 15-23 for 69 yards.

IMO, you really can't tell about much your new "D" even though there stats say it was a very good game.

I'm happy we held them to 0 (zero) points, defense seems improved. Although we had some passing problems, I thought the passing game seemed more confident, we didn't avoid it and use it as a 3rd and long crutch. It was more of a regular feature in the offense which to me shows the coaches at least have some confidence that we can throw the ball with a lower chance of an interception than last year.

we scored 69 in 2015 in the first game. lot of good that did.

bunch of people trying to make too big of a deal out of one game

Not at all Dis-respect, you played an inferior team and even though GT was not at its best you had 429 yards in rushing & a 50% pass avg. foe 104 yards.

As I stated in an earlier post you, Rainbow and about 3 others would be upset if GT were in the playoffs 2 out of the next 3 years and won a National Championship in the 3rd year. It would be but, but, but and the score wouldn't be good enough for GT, or the other final 4 were not the same caliber as they were in the past 3 years - on and on.

I heard Dis & his 4 amigos dropped a "K" on Pen and gave Appy State's team 28 points on the Vegas betting line.

And thats how you roll. Will you be able to take your kids to the next GT home game and buy them a $5 hotdog?

you might actually be retarded

If we look dominant, then this "wasn't any kind of test". Since we didn't look perfect everybody projects what we did today exactly onto every single other game of the year because of course we are the only team in the country that won't get better as the year goes along.

There is virtually no way for a game like this to result in widespread good feelings about the team.

Well persons that are retarded, an out dated word, have an IQ of about 70 to 40 and people below 40 would be profoundly intilectually inhibited.
Your resoning skills places you at an IQ of 60-70. Please note that I did not place you below an IQ of 65, so I'm being more than fare.

Have you really had your IQ tested? Most people haven't. The fact is that the standard IQ test misses a lot of areas of cognative performance. Still based on a simple IQ test I'd really put you around 105.

I have three degrees from GT. Probably not retarded.
