I realize it was game #1......

Well the last 2 times you played JUCO Sothern I bet you filled your pants.
The last time we played Southern I was at work and only saw JT5 save the day. That says more about the state of Georgia Tech football than it does about Southern. Get over yourself dude. No one here gives a shit about the history of this offense and certainly not about Georgia Southern. We just want to be better today. Some bullshit in 1970 that happened at Georgia Southern before any of us was born is of no consequence to how we play USF next week.

normally I'd agree but this one's a total waste of time. There are a few other clowns here who can be a pain in the ass but are at least intelligent with a good sense of humor at the end of the day. And are Tech fans at heart, not fans of some FCS school.

Rainbow's ideas of IQ again.
As I stated before, it’s hard for me to believe that you speak so frequently about IQs. I know you see yourself as a legend in your own mind, but I'm guessing that most on this board can see through your beliefs in your own self grandeur by the lack of reality or rational argument in your posts. I'm also sure you have a solid average IQ and were an overachiever to get into GT.
HUMOR?
There are many types of humor, but I've never seen any humor in any of your posts.
Maybe you should look up the term HUMOR, find the characteristics of humor a try applying them when posting to me!

PS - Georgia Southern is a G5 FBS school & I support GT's , Johnson & team.

So you were never a man that researched the history of anything. Thats fine but it doesn't do anything for your ignorance on the Spread Option offense.

As I stated before, it worked great at Southern since 1985. & every great GSU coach that ran PJs spread after words was very successful.
GT has not been able to be consistent with it.

I stated that PJ was at GSC, Hawaii, Navy as OC and did a great job, He then returned to GSU as HC winning 86% of his games, was then HC at Navy & turned that program around the became HC at GT and has been inconsistent. His 2 HC protégés are doing well at NAVY & Army.
That being said, I'd hope SOME of you might see a winning light for your team in the near future. Unless PJ resigns you have him for another 5 years. I personally would love to see GT make it to the playoffs in that time.

So we have a former player wanting to discuss OL play and we immediately transform the thread into a Ga Tech Ga Southern shit show? Still StinGTalkin. Carry on.

How did you get a degree from GSC? You spell for öööö.
In second grade a visiting master’s degree student working under an Educational Doctor at the University of Rhode Island were working on a reading disability called dyslexia.

Spelling.

In second grade a visiting master’s degree student working under an Educational Doctor at the University of Rhode Island were working on a reading disability called dyslexia.
I was chosen as a K-Study to try learn more about the disability and try new techniques for decoding & encoding for reading and spelling.
In 3rd grade we moved from Rhode Island to Gainesville Florida, after my father left the Navy as an aviator, and was a K-Study for U of F where I continued with work on my dyslexia.
Sadly, while I improved my reading skills I was taught how to spell phonetically which only works about 50% of the time for the English Language. It is very hard for me to picture sight words in my head.

In high school very, few educators knew of dyslexia & I received a very poor education in my writing classes. My reading comprehension skills were excellent but had a stigma on putting pen to paper, for fear of my spelling skills, & how my English teachers would view my work.

When at GSU I gained the help, I needed to write without fear of criticism on spelling and was graded more on content and less on spelling.
Although I don’t use spell check much anymore, while I was working it was a god send.

I was very lucky. A lot of students with dyslexia never had the help I did.

And now you know.

That’s really great, but this thread is supposed to be about the OL.

Center and guards- we are solid. Rookie at one tackle, but he beat out the vets. Some missed assignments on Saturday.
There were some ineffective cut blocks in the backfield that had TQM moving around more than he should have.
I think the OL will be fine ...CPJ's problem is getting TQM to be more unpredictable by the Clemson game. If he get's that to happen... That's when the fun begins.
USF is gonna be a test.

So if you have a certain limitation, and there's an available remedy that helps greatly with that limitation, a remedy that is both free and ubiquitous to the point that you would have to go out of your way not to use it, even though you admit you used to use it, then wouldn't the choice to refuse to use such a thing kinda be classified as retarded?

Is this supposed to be a knock on CPJ for not developing a passing game?

lol, no it's about not using spell check despite the self admitted need for it, all the while going on and on with a bunch of incessant drivel about IQ. But reading it under that umbrella kinda works too, not that I agree with such a conclusion, and I'm not exactly sure what the ubiquitous remedy would actually be in that context.

Spare me. I am quite familiar with dyslexia.

How is that?

No I'd say I 'm just was lazy now.

Doesn't this offense take a while to gel every single season? Not a matter of experience, just needs a lot of reps, or so I've been under the impression. The two really good seasons in the last few years caught fire late in the year.

I hope that’s it

This thread didn’t take long to get the ole hijacked!

My fear is if we block in tampa like we did the other day we could be in trouble. I hope that’s not the case.

We had some missed assignments and got drilled several times. Definitely a cause for concern. The OL has to be good for our offense,
and it did not look all that good Saturday.

but sheesh, our OL play was horrendous during the first half. D lineman were turned loose, looked like several missed assignments, and there just didn’t seem to be much fire in their pants.

We HAVE to play better up front if we are going to put up additional wins from here on out. Maybe the improvement from week 1 to week 2 will be obvious in Tampa next Saturday.

Our entire offense hinges on OL play; in 2014, our OL was just crushing people and our two primary BBs were Synjyn Days and Zach Laskey. That's the last time I can really remember us being able to dominate good teams on the line. I don't know that I saw that type of push and force against Alcorn, but we'll just have to see next weekend.
