Georgia Tech Fights

Best fight I saw while at tech was a massive throw down in the middle of 4th Street between the Betas and the SAEs. I had just come out of the Rich building and heard the commotion. Things started to escalate and they we're about to kick it up to broken beer bottles when the police arrived to break things up.

I wish I had THAT on youtube!

was there for that one...98ish timeframe.
 
The Beta's were a bunch of puss**s back in the day. Probably still are. We didn't call 'em "beat off 11's" for nothing!
 
Heh....I was probably there for one or two of those 4th St. fights (watching safely from a distance, of course).
 
From what I understand that 98 fight also involved ATO's and DTD's and was started by a rather devious prank/plan to frame one fraternity against another.

yes it did. ATO's fought against beta's with SAE's.

Was at the ATO house (not a brother there just hanging out with some friends...) when it happened.
 
i remember the SAE lion in the middle of the street and the Betas kicking some major a$$ on the senator son crew... but then again, i was probably under the influence then

btw, i went to Tech from 88-91 when these fights were pretty common and the lion had a different color every week, the ATOs were not yet kicked off campus and the DaDiDas were not sober enough to fight...
 
I lived next door to the SAE house for 4 years but AZD lived there for 3 of them b/c SAE was off campus. The last year when they came back only added more fuel to the fire b/t the 4 houses right there on 4th and fowler. However my scariest experience was more the time someone from PiKapp trying to blow up my room/side of the house with propane tanks....
 
Man, you crazy 4th street houses, I guess we had a pretty quiet time on the Techwood part of Fraternity Row. All we had to deal with were the damn Lamda Chis blasting Carpet Ride a few hours a day and the Sigmachis with their ties/undies... good times, and all in all pretty good neighbors all around.

The Beta wars have been going on forever involving various other fraternities. They resent their leader being called the MasterBeta by the other frats. :duel:

ATO's and Beta's got into it alot. We (ATO's) got into it with DTD because they had spray painted DTD on our Dog. Now, whether or not the DTD's did it to our dog or not didn't matter, we always had guys looking for fights.

33jacket, did you live with Blake that summer was always in his room? I think I remember you.

yes that was me; it was a charge for me giving him my couch LOL. How did you figure that out? Who is this...PM me

also I remember the DTD on the dog...no doubt I think the concensus was it was beta.

Do you remember when me an Auer walked into the KA house and took their composites? LOL

and the KAs launching missiles into the TKE house or the other one right there, the PsiUps i think? man, lots of water balloons and fireworks

i always wanted to see the Skulls going "head to head" with the 777s though, never happened

Beta did get into several fights while I was there, mostly when I was younger like the one in 98 with all four houses on the corner.
