Strategy question: following the 2 pt conversion, WVU got flagged for an unsportsmanlike penalty. That cost them 15 yds on the KO. So UT returner fielded the ball at the 20. He ran it up to the 40 or thereabouts.

My question is: why not kick the ball directly out of bounds on the KO? They would get the ball at the 35 right?

I think that they would have added them together since one was a dead ball foul

I don't know what that means. They already enforced the unsportsmanlike on where the ball is teed up for the KO. They're not going to enforce it again.

Kicking it out isn't always set to the 35, they could have made it a 5 yard penalty and forced a rekick.

Sorry. I thought it was going to be added to the end of the run
