He knew he needed help and went out and got it. That low punting style kick meant to seek out the guys in white almost worked the first time but put Miami back in the game the second time.
And seeing that when Branch is st DE he doesn’t hold his edge and running those repeat sweeps was pretty smart.
He out coached PJ but three turnovers was too much for them to overcome

I am happy we won but Richt called a good game. He picked on Simmons early and often until he was hurt. He stuck with stuff that worked. We had complete control of the game near the end of the half due to fumbles and we were going to get the ball at second half kickoff. That punt play was very smart. Meanwhile they forced us to win through the air (very low odds of late). It was very touch and go to the very end as we were mostly worn out on defense at the end. Richt coached a good game.

But I will be surprised if Richt does. A proud and stubborn man, Richt has been terse, even dismissive at times when asked about his play-calling, instead blaming execution and saying these plays have been working for 30 years.
