The WSJ doesn't remember Joe Hamilton

In an article about Kyler Murray's height and how that impacts the likelihood of him being drafted high in the NFL, the WSJ says this
Of the 53 quarterbacks taken in the first round since 2000, none have been shorter than 6 feet. Their average height has been much higher—between 6-3 and 6-4. Just one 5-10 quarterback has been drafted in that span, and his name was Joe Hamilton. You probably don’t remember Joe Hamilton because he played in only one game in his NFL career and got on the field for four snaps. He never passed the ball. He ran it once. He fumbled.

That's pretty ridiculous. Joe deserves better.
 
John Heisman's NFL numbers were even worse. You probably don't remember him either, WSJ.
 
I mean it isn't wrong. Unless you're a big time college football fan, you probably don't remember Joe Hamilton. If the article is indeed about QB height in relation to the NFL, a player who never threw a pass in the NFL isn't going to be very memorable in the context of the NFL.

Joe threw a TD pass for Tampa Bay. Might have been preseason but still.
 
Wow only one 5-10 or shorter QB drafted in 18 years? You think there would be more

The way I remember it, after a shrewd trade with Tampa, Joe went on to win multiple MVP and SuperBowl trophies for the Falcons.

Who had the Heisman Trophy stolen from him by a fat öööö running back from Wisconsin?

That wasn't the first time it happened..... see Link for 1954 & how many TDs the winner got.... course he got famous four years later for a TD he did score.

The 1954 voting may be the dumbest thing I have seen in a while. Is he the last Heisman winner to record 0 touchdowns in the year he won?
