RIP East Lots

GT emailed us with the sad news that the East Lots are no more.

Long live the East Lots!
 
Are these the ones by the volleyball court?
 
Student Center lots (except for the deck) are gone too. I filled out priority choice list/survey today. All four choices were further from BDS than SC. Of course SC deck was the fifth option.

Was Fowler Street one of your options? LOL, who would want to tailgate there?
 
Pray tell, what is this banter about? Are the lots being replaced by buildings or are they just not being offered as season ticket holder lots?

East Lots definitely gonna be a building. It is the corner of Spring and Ponce. Used to be that lot AND the lot next to the Concentra there on the far end of the Varsity lot. They took that away and gave it to another company or something. Surprised to hear about the Student center surface lot though. Are they gonna build there as well?

I believe the student center is slated for a massive renovation and I guess the lot is a casualty.

Yes it was. I don't tailgate but I also don't like the thought of parrellel parking my RAM 1500 on Fowler St. Area 6 was my first choice as I think my daughter's (12 & 6) would enjoy the Waffle House and/or the bookstore. I've been in SC deck for 20 yrs.

Yeah that Area 6 lot is gonna be crowded.
Current East Lot is closest to it and it is twice the size of that one.

We will prob go back to paying The Varsity for their lot. Was nice not being amongst visiting fans.
 
Confirming that the student center is getting a massive overhaul and that parking lot is going away, soon.

Wow. I'd be happy to stay in SC deck. That was my 2nd choice.
