Waffle House backing GT

I did a quick Google. It looks like Junior's was across Techwood from Smith/Brown from 1948-1967. Then it moved to across North Ave from Smith from 1967-1993. Then it moved to Tech Tower from 1994 - 2011. So the "real Juniors" just depends on when you went to Tech.

Across Techwood? Like where the stadium gate at the corner of Techwood and North is now? I think I knew that the 67-93 location wasn't the original (and I think I heard that it was originally smaller and then expanded into an adjacent space), but never knew where it was previously.

Pero's was up at the corner of North Ave. and Tech Parkway/Luckie in my experience.

Peros was previously called Cholies in that location.

Grumpys was in that same area. Learned to drink beer in that place during their quarter beer nights.

Grumpy Dog. Mmmmmmm.

That’s what it sounds like. Tech took the land which is why Juniors moved across North Ave. Apparently Juniors moved next to the Engineers Bookstore in a small space and when Engineers Bookstore moved to West Campus, Juniors expanded

Juniors was moved from it's original location in 1967, it went into the location in the pic I posted.

In 1987 the Engineers Book Store moved over to its West Campus location, Tommy expanded Juniors into the rest of the building. Juniors then had a dining room with tables & chairs and a larger menu. The '67-'87 version was lunch-counter style with fixed stools lining three counters. When it was busy you could hardly walk in there.

When the Olympics came to town and the building was torn down, Tommy & company moved on campus and ran an ARA affiliated dining hall named Juniors Grill.

I guess that the location was a bad one for the people in the East Campus dorms because business slowed and it closed in early 2011.

One of the great things was the free, ample parking.

Stan's had a little hole in the wall across North Avenue that had great sandwiches. First time I realized that making a sandwich was part art and part science.

I’m backing Waffle House. Here is sit in a suit after attending a charity gala (that incidentally had no food).

Today was a first in my life. I ate two meals all day long. Both at Waffle House.
I ate at two restaurants yesterday too. Kale Me Up and What The öööö Is Quinoa? Both were very bougie. Why did you act poor yesterday?*

* the above was for entertainment purposes only. I am not gtphd. Waffle House 2X sounds awesome
