So what look to be strengths and areas of concern?

I only got to watch the second half. Receivers looked better than I expected. The O lines look to be a bit of a concern on pass pro.
I thought the same about the OL but then considered that we aren’t going to play 10 guys. Top 7-8 might look much better.

I'd say the strengths are:
WR is the best group by a good bit
RB are next best imo (no surprise) we are 5 deep with Benson back
QB is better than average I think. Seeing tonight, I think Graham will win the job, personally.
Safety is in very good shape. Probably see a bunch of nickel and even dime to get safeties on the field.

Weaknesses
DL is still biggest weakness. We will really miss Big B on and off the field.
LB still look slow.
CB has decent talent but we're thin.

Neutral
OL will be ok.

Also, we're a pretty good dancing team so I guess that is a strength.

Lucas has the starting QB job locked up.

Anybody know the teams were divided up? The whole above/ below the line thing seems to mess up the usual spring game division of first off vs first def
If you haven’t noticed it is no longer business as “usual”.

I came away with a nearly identical impression. WR and RB looked strong. WR surprisingly so. The speed on offense is noticeable. Maybe the tempo accentuates that but we are definitely fast. I thought Graham looked more dynamic and Lucas looked good/safe. I think when it’s all said and done, Graham will be the dude. Defense was tough.

Yeah Big B loss set me back. I was willing to bet the house on 8 wins, but with out him I’m not so sure.

The WR talent is sick and QB is fine as stated but we’ll need to protect to give him time to deliver

Will be interesting if Clayton and Ezzard get their waivers.

Not sure on the RBs. Didn’t appear explosive in the plays i watched but made plays

Great attendance and atmosphere tonight. Best I have ever experienced in the Flats. A few observations:
1. Definetly a different vibe and approach...lots of enthusiasm;
2. Lucas Johnson is the clear no. 1 QB. He needs to work on footwork, but has the tools to move the offense.
3. OL footwork is markedly improved. Was the surprise group for me.
4. We love the backside slant with trips to the field. Lots of underneath crossing routes as well. I do like the lead with 2 RBs.
5. DL remains our weakest position group followed by LBs. WRs surprisingly good, though still lots of route mistakes...which is to be expected.
6. The gold on gold uniform didn’t totally suck...so there’s that.
7. I doubt our top 3 DBs could cover Calvin. He looks like a baller still.

It’s not an easy transition, but it can be done. The biggest adjustment will be learning to trust your body to “sit back”.
