Any cord cutters on here? I am thinking of ditching direct TV after the last episode of GOT, my only concern is when fall comes around. Need to watch lots of college football, are any of the cheaper online options still good for fall Saturdays?

Do you know if they have any rules on using the account oversees? I've had issues trying to watch streaming services through Comcast oversees.

I'm pretty sure they have rules about it, but I don't know what they are. You have to give them your zip so they can get your locals, and I think I recall them checking that against my billing address. The service works on mobile devices anywhere, though, so who knows, maybe once you get it set up it'll work overseas. I haven't explored that yet.
 
Is Youtube TV going to have the ACC Network? I was going to go with Hulu Live TV for that reason alone.

I haven't seen them announce it yet. They might not, although the way the ACC network has been so aggressive with other carriers, I think they will by the time the season starts. IIRC, they don't carry the Pac 12 network either.
 
I have DirecTV Now. I spoke with a rep this morning. Confirmed that negotiations are on going with ESPN/ACC Network. Sounds like they're in the final stages.
 
Hulu TV is great.. I think it is 5 doalls cheaper than Youtube TV... (45 to 50) Hulu has the SECN, BIGTEN, Will have teh ACCN, Fox reagionals...and all the ESPN...

hulu Live only allows you to watch 2 tv screens at one time (must pay 5 bucks more to increase) where Youtube you can watch on 5 screens..

I still have Dish network, which I should cancel . The only thing I watch is the local news. Everything else I stream.

Youtube says they will only allow you to watch on 5 screens, but surprisingly that is still very easy to defeat for their platform. I've had DirecTV Now and Sling, and both of them are far more aggressive about it. Never tried to defeat Hulu yet. May have to see about that.

Plus, Pluto and a few others out there are free. Some have older movies and low budget stuff. Pro tip, if you watch "Atlantic Rim" (rip off low budget of Pacific Rim), watch the MST3K version of it.
 
I've had Charter cable, DirecTV, Sling, Hulu TV, and YouTube TV, and YouTube is by far my favorite. There is literally nothing that I would want to watch but don't have, it's extremely easy to use, it automatically records all the things I care about with unlimited storage, and it is a lot cheaper than cable or satellite. Hulu TV would be second, but the storage is not unlimited and I didn't like the interface quite as much.
 
I switched from the UltraTitanium (or whatever) DirecTV school of thought where we had every regional sports network, all the premiums, etc., after 20 years! We went with YTTV, and other than a few events on other-region sports networks, the only networks I'm really missing are HBO and ACCN. I will not be a happy camper if I can't get the Tech/Clemson game to start the season, but I keep hearing that YTTV will eventually announce the carriage. As for HBO, I can get that on one of the other streaming solutions we also have been using (both with DirecTV and now with YTTV).

I 2nd this. I had Comcast and switched to the same PS Vue plan as savbandjacket. Streams on most all devices with good quality so long as you have good internet connection. I also pay $4.99 a month for ESPN+ and that pretty much covers all of my sports-viewing needs. If you're still not satisfied they offer an extended sports plan for an additional $10 that has all regional NBC and Fox sports networks.

If you cancel YouTube TV, can you still watch the things you recorded when you had a subscription? Or do you have to keep an active paid membership? If you sign back up, will you still have your old recordings?

You can watch until your billing period ends, then you can't access your content anymore (it's recorded in the cloud, and you re-stream it any time you watch it). If you want to retain your recordings but not pay your bill, you can pause your service instead of cancelling it, although all YTTV recordings expire 9 months after they are made anyways.
