#17 Wing Green OT Lee County

He went from being unrated to a 5.5 when GT offered last week. Nobody saw him play, nobody got any new film. They saw he got a P5 offer and they rated him 5.5. That's how they do it.

We had a kid committed for over a month that didn’t have a rating this cycle. Sometimes they get caught doing that. Like when they got publicly outed for giving out a rating to a fake recruit sometime in the last year. But that’s not how they generally do it.

Supposedly this kid didn’t start last year so there isn’t a lot of film on him. Which is why he’s rated low. Which is fine. Doesn’t mean he won’t impress this year. But it’s not a placeholder rating. Think they usually give out 5.2 if they have a profile for a kid but haven’t evaluated him.

I seem to recall from the JOL guys that the base line for a prospect with a power 5 offer is 5.4 or 5.5. Regardless, this kid was unrated last Friday and was then rated a 5.5 based on no new information other than GT offered him.
