Agree. ACC has Clemson right now. Hard to claim any others.Yeah, they should rank other ACC teams too like uh...
Hmm
They've been good the last couple years. Beat Clemson a couple years ago, and choked the game away late last year.Syracuse?

Polls exist for 2 reasons: (1) drive up ESPN viewership (people are more willing to watch #24 Iowa State vs. #21 Washington State than Iowa State vs. Washington State) and (2) to create something for the media to debate. The latter is benefited when the polls are contentious.personally don't think polls should come out until at least week 3, but that is a different conversation
GT top 10 broYeah, they should rank other ACC teams too like uh...
Hmm
They are banking on almost beating clemmons.Syracuse?
JRjr
None. GT will be hit with NCAA penalties after our victory and it will be wiped from the record booksHow far down will Clemson fall after week 1?
That didn't stop the SEC from riding Alabama's coattails for years.Agree. ACC has Clemson right now. Hard to claim any others.
A lot of people are high on UVA, but I'm not sold. Couldn't even beat a lousy VPI last year with their best team in a while vs. VPI's worst in a while. Umm...NC State? Meh. Not often that FSU doesn't get a courtesy nod in the top 25, but they will likely be 7 wins, at best.Yeah I'm not sure what other ACC team deserves to be in the Top 25 (personally don't think polls should come out until at least week 3, but that is a different conversation).
You could possibly try and stick some of the traditional powers in there which is what happens with the SEC. That being said the traditional teams kind of sucked last year and they don't appear to be that much better on paper this year.
From a championship standpoint, that's been true in recent years. Unfortunately we still lag behind the SEC when it comes to major non-conference wins. And they send an absurd number of players to the NFL. The gap isn't as great as SEC homers make it out to be, but it does exist. That didn't stop the SEC from riding Alabama's coattails for years.
