Well, we’ve got a QB

No. The difference is that you don't yet trust Collins and so you make these ridiculous statements and then try to justify them with "yeah but..." and sound like an idiot. Just stop.

Exactly where in my post do I say "yeah but" ? You could be right, we may just be ahead of all the football programs in the country. Maybe next year we will see Clemson and Bama rotating QB's randomly once they see how our unpredictability is baffling defenses.

One thing you have right is that I don't yet trust Collins. That doesn't mean I don't think he can be successful here, it means we don't know yet. There are a lot of promises about 3,4, maybe 5 years from now; and a whole bunch of throwing our current players under the bus by the 404'ers. I hope we get the 4&5 star recruits everyone was excited about over the summer; but now I am probably considered a bad fan if I set recruiting expectations that high.

Dude, every bit of all of your posts about this subjects are a great big "yeah but". Five games into a rebuild of epic proportions and you've been bitching like a little girl for at least the last 2 and probably more.

I don't consider you a bad fan....more like a whining little girl. You admit you don't know if will be successful here yet but that damn sure doesn't stop the free flowing whining.

Wahhh...wahhh....Geoff Collins....wahhhh...wahhh....but Paul Johnson would have done x......wahhh....wahhhh.

No doubt, but the guys we are recruiting this year are no where near the 6'6" to 6'8" 320lbs average that we are talking about.
Wrong. Wrong. All four tackles are at least 6'5" and the shortest has a 6'7" wingspan (which is why they want tall linemen, not for the actual height at all but because tall guys have long arms. They all absolutely meet the measurables on tbe chart.

If UNC has 6'6" guards and a 6'6" center then that is pretty interesting.

We could beat Duke next week. That would be a big win for us.

Wrong. Wrong. None of those guys are both over 6'6" and 320+ lbs. If they met the measurables on the chart they would have offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc.... and be rated as 4 & 5 star recruits.

Edit: They can still be good players for us; but I am not the one putting these unmet requirements out there.

Stop clowning yourself.

:) Oh yeah...I'm the one sounding like a little bitch in every post.
Do I need to find a little doll so that you can point out where Geoff Collins hurt you?

Are you this childish in real life?

My attitude on 'money down' changed today. Up until now, I thought it was kind of awkward when they'd say it. This week, the people who sit in front of me had their grand kids with them...two little girls about 6 and 9 years old. And the gentleman in front of me had his son who was probably 10 or 11. Those were in addition to the usual 7 or 8 kids around us who have been there pretty much every game. When third down came up, they would all start jumping around and yelling "It's money down...it's money down!" and they clearly thought it was awesome.

Realizing that our fanbase who attends the game is an older crowd, I think it's vital that we get some young fans excited about being Tech fans. And if this is one more thing that makes them enjoy the experience, then go with it IMO. And besides, they only did the money down thing at most half of the time.

lol sounds like you easily could have been sitting near us. My girls scream and get so irritated if they say 3rd down. I find it hilarious that they enjoy the "money down" thing. I think it sounds stupid, but they love it. What section are you in out of curiosity?

Height AND weight at 17-18 years old?

How many of those players on UNC were 320 at 17? Compare that to how many were already 6-6 to 6-8.

It aint nothing to put weight on these guys. Acting like we arent recruiting at their level cause our recruits are only 285-295 is silly. We have 4 OT all in the top 100 recruits. You do the math, that is top 25 territory.

Look at Bama's recruits and look at ours. UNC is only taking one OT and he is right out of our backyard.

Our top OT recruit is simply smaller (though only slightly lower ranked) than UNC's:

We are recruiting close to UNC level talent at the moment; but is that the goal?

You really think UNC only wanted one lineman this year? I would say four top 100 tackles is better than one top 100 tackle even if the one is higher than the 4.

The goal for every team is to get the best players they can. Year one you want us outrecruiting Bama? I'm going to note who you are because right now I feel like I'm "wrestling with a pig" discussing this with you.

lol why are people disliking this? From what I can tell, people don't like aeoromech I guess (?) but that line in his post is funny.
No, its just another example of spin that just happens to be bitching about our program. Clemson actually played a different QB before Lawrence for about the same # of games as we did before now. We could look back at Bama in the recent past when Tua took over and I bet there was some rotating going on. Not to mention wildcat which most teams run.

Everyone has these fans. Negative to a fault. Nothing is good enough.

Between being a FOCer and defending CPJ up until his last year, I have learned to live and let tard. I maintain that the idea, of college coaches rushing to confuse their opponent with bizarre tactics like platooning quarterbacks for no reason even to their own detriment, is funny.
