So what you're saying is our defense would be much better if only we had an offense that dominated time of possession? Got it. Glad we're on the same page.
Yes like most any decent offense that converts on 3rd down

The yard work is done, the 30 pack Lite is in the beer fridge, Papa John’s supreme just arrived, and Toe will be meeting Leather soon.

Go Jackets, and as always THTHTHWG!

Was a 30 pack enough for this öööö?

What did Cut say at the half? I muted it

Began with usual coach speak. Then...

“I’m not really sure what happened on the first drive on D. If we don’t allow the big plays, there’s no way GT can score.”

I mean. He’s right but pretty amazing to see a HC say it during the game.

While partially true, the lack of talent is apparent. The triple option did a lot to hide how bad we actually were on defense for a long time. With our offense now not being able to sustain drives, the D is fully exposed.
That’s all I been saying for months and get bigcried :ugh:

No he said score. There’s no way they can score.

Other than Brown and maybe Carpenter, I don’t think any GT player could start for Duke.

I think next year a realistic goal should be what Louisville is this year. A team that no one is really excited about, hangs in every game, and that will likely win 6 or 7 games (including a win against Wake tonight). Graham reminds me a lot of Malik Cunningham.

Not sure what to think. Clearly CPJ left the cupboard bare, especially in the trenches. Clearly the coaching is not up to par. Clearly there are a lot of issues. Really, really bad.

Since 2015, Duke has had an average recruiting ranking of 48.8 according to 24/7 while Tech's average was 49.9. Clearly, if the cupboard is bare for Tech it should be for Duke as well. The problem is not so much a lack of talent between the two teams as superior coaching and player development of Coach Cut and his staff. There is absolutely no excuse for this performance. We took a baby step forward against UNC and went two or three steps back today. The lack of respect Duke has for our defense is shown by going for it on fourth down three times and making it each time. As you say, "there are a lot of issues..." indeed.
