I kind of liked the money down thing. Hope they still do it in some big situations, but glad they are bringing the chords back.

I got a little change in my pocket going jingle-lingle-ling.

YES. Felt so uncomfortable hearing no music before 3rd Downs against Pitt. Crowd was noticeably quieter. And then hearing it before Pitt 1st Downs (essentially celebrating their conversion) was maddening.

Announce money down. Throw the cash if you want to and if recruits like it. But there’s no reason not to play the music too.

I think keeping the juice crew waving money down sogns we should keep

I thought they finally got it better at the Pitt game, other than that terrible PA announcer. When we did money downs, we had the DJ playing "money themed" songs and the guys on the field and students were definitely feeding off of it.

Omg who cares about the ööööing third down chords. Lamest “tradition” ever.
The crowd gets louder for chords than for random 8 second hip hop clips. This is relevant in that a louder crowd helps make communication for the opponent's offense harder and hypes up our defense.

The chords definitely get the crowd up better. That subtle ramp that says "get your ass up and cheer it's third down öööööööööööö"

I'm sure they are going to integrate money down with it which I've warmed up to. Whatever it takes to get that blue and gray mass in the lower north to do something. Anything.
