What can’t they do both?Saw this posted to a GT Facebook group last night:

I kind of liked the money down thing. Hope they still do it in some big situations, but glad they are bringing the chords back.
What can’t they do both?
I thought they finally got it better at the Pitt game, other than that terrible PA announcer. When we did money downs, we had the DJ playing "money themed" songs and the guys on the field and students were definitely feeding off of it.YES. Felt so uncomfortable hearing no music before 3rd Downs against Pitt. Crowd was noticeably quieter. And then hearing it before Pitt 1st Downs (essentially celebrating their conversion) was maddening.
Announce money down. Throw the cash if you want to and if recruits like it. But there’s no reason not to play the music too.
I thought it was gay. Save the celebration until after we stop them. It’s like NASCAR popping the champagne before the race.I think keeping the juice crew waving money down sogns we should keep
They aren't celebrating. They're hyping our defense up for a stop.I thought it was gay. Save the celebration until after we stop them. It’s like NASCAR popping the champagne before the race.
I'd like the announcer to say "It's 2nd down!" or "It's 4th down!" just to mess with the other team.
All numbers In the interval (3,5) would have them infinitely confused."It's the set of all integers between and not including 3 and 5 down!"
Omg who cares about the ööööing third down chords. Lamest “tradition” ever.
The 12th man just rolled over in his grave.I thought it was gay. Save the celebration until after we stop them. It’s like NASCAR popping the champagne before the race.
It’s dumb. And you’re dumb.
The crowd gets louder for chords than for random 8 second hip hop clips. This is relevant in that a louder crowd helps make communication for the opponent's offense harder and hypes up our defense.Omg who cares about the ööööing third down chords. Lamest “tradition” ever.
