2020 Recruiting

Get continuing through Thursday. So my point stands.

Well, it appears Davis is headed to FSU after all. Steve Wiltfrong at 247 gave him a Crystal Ball this morning and Russell Johnson of Rivals switched his futurecast from GT to FSU today as well. Guess they made him an offer he couldn't refu$e.

iiwii. Makes the roster calculus easier. We’ll get to watch and see what he becomes down the line for the Noles if he indeed does go to FSU. He was a no name recruit 2 months ago. I feel like GT’s interest opened eyes and likely helped get Davis the attention he received late in the process.

I have always hated that we seems to do the factory work for them. It seems like this will be less of a thing going forward, but pisses me off nonetheless.

I don't think we're going to have a problem with the roster. I knew there were special provisions for new head coaches, but not sure how many years they can use these rules. I've been researching it and I found this:

An NCAA DI head coaching change frequently results in a change to a student-athlete’s scholarship status.
This includes student-athletes who have a four-year “guaranteed” scholarship that can’t be reduced for athletic or medical reasons.

In those situations, a new DI head coach is allowed to tell student-athletes they can continue on scholarship until they graduate, but they might not be on the team in their remaining years.

This is what gripes me. While I love his tape and would love to have Davis on the team, I think we have some good talent at that position now, so losing out on him isn't a back-breaker. Nonetheless, it makes you wonder if FSU would have ever found him much less offered him had we not found him first.

I don't think FSU is a factory anymore. I just think they have not figured it out yet.

Not worried about Davis. We will win, with or without him.

Ask Brett Favre what FSU has that most other universities don't. It happens - ATL and a dynamite education aren't going to appeal to everyone.

PWO and Brad Stewart's brother.

3A All region as both a WR and Kicker. Them Stewart boys something else.

All of the Stewart kids are exceptional athletes. They have a sister who is also a really good athlete. I’m glad to see that the new coaches reached out to him. Furthers the family mentality they are instilling with bringing former players in.

Let's just hope he doesn't ruin his future draft grade because...I wanna be a P.E. Teacher!

FSU fans are not impressed by picking up TJ Davis, I live in Florida and they all don’t care. Think it’s a weak commitment if it happens.
