QBs should think twice about going to play for Kirby

Im sure the NFL scouts get all of their player info from Athlon.

He wasn't considered a high draft pick before this past year. Totally different situation than a guy like Trevor Lawrence who was presumed to be a future top pick before he ever stepped on campus.

Not only is the weather not ideal for a guy like Fromm, but the Bills also have an abysmal recent history of developing quarterbacks. The ideal situation for him would have been going to a dome or warm-weather team with a veteran QB he could learn from.

The Bills can’t afford the payroll required to have a good team.

From the above links. Based on the fact the Trevor Lawerence wasn't in the draft, it doesn't look like playing another year for Smart helped Fromm.

2. Jake Fromm, Georgia
Fromm set the bar high as a freshman in 2017, as he was instrumental in guiding Georgia to a SEC Championship and a trip to the national title game against Alabama. As expected, Fromm continued his development with a standout sophomore campaign and enters 2019 as one of the top quarterbacks in college football.

3. Jake Fromm, Georgia
2018 stats: 206-of-306, 2,749 yards, 30 touchdowns, 6 interceptions

2019 expectations: The steady Fromm improved his completion percentage last season with razor sharp precision and is hoping to have his best season yet under new play-caller James Coley's tutelage.

5. Jake Fromm, Georgia (Jr.)

Fromm finished last season ranked in the top 12 nationally in touchdowns, completion percentage, yards per attempt and efficiency rating. Few noticed. Supremely reliable and extremely undervalued, Fromm's national reputation hasn't caught up with his production. Another Georgia run to the College Football Playoff might change that.

Feel free to show me a source from 9 months ago that thought of him as a high draft pick.

Well you got me there I guess. I don’t remember what I read before and I wasn’t able to find it. And my neighbor was out so we just reviewed. Obviously he was judged to be not as good as JT Barrett but the Buckeyes haven’t exactly been the best judges of talent at that position and have been looking for more of a running QB it seems.

So are you advocating that the NFL folks are dumb and should’ve taken Fromm higher? I can’t tell.

A good analogy to Fromm would be little Joe. Dude almost wins the Heisman yet never sniffs the field in the NFL.

I’m not advocating anything for Fromm. He went where he went because he has a girly-arm. It was good enough for college but was exposed this year with bad receivers.

Preseason a lot of people did have him pegged as a 1st round QB, but things change based on more tape.

Did he do the Combine?

What would we be saying about a GT QB if he had Fromm's record for us, including a NC game?

I know, and agree, that one of CGC's big recruiting points is to help kids get to NFL but i am more concerned with their record at GT.

It also shows how Kirby completely mismanaged the qb position. He sucks. If my son were a top fight quarterback I’d encourage him to go play somewhere else because Kirby is going to ruin nfl aspirations.

I would hope you wouldn’t even have to encourage him not to entertain playing for uga.

So lemme get this straight, Corndog is saying Fromm is on the same caliber as Burrow?

what an idiot.

Wut?

I said that evaluations can quickly change based on more film and critical evaluation. Burrow went from an afterthought to the #1 player in the country. Fromm went from being believed to be a top 10 player to a 5th round pick.

PS: Eat a dick.
