Anyone have a sense of which seniors will or won't take advantage of the free season and come back next year?

(Correct me if wrong but my understanding was this season would not count against anyone's eligibility.)

Here are the seniors on the de facto depth chart:
Jaytlin Askew
Djimon Brooks
Jalen Camp
Tariq Carpenter
Antonneous Clayton
Kenny Cooper
David Curry
Jack DeFoor
Pressley Harvin III
Jerry Howard, Jr.
Ryan Johnson
Bruce Jordan-Swilling
Antwan Owens

In before this thread goes south quickly.

Time for them to go imo

Probably depends heavily on graduation, draft potential, and how the 2021 class wraps up.
Is there something wrong morally with choosing not to continue scholarships for grad students? And is that something that happens?

Curry has said in pressers that this is his last season. Not sure about the others, but my guess is most will graduate and move on. Guys with NFL potential that didn’t show out as much as needed may stay for 1 more.

I don’t see anyone from that list getting drafted.
Harvin in an obvious NFL talent. There are a couple others with potential that could benefit by getting healthy and staying back 1 year (Carpenter, Clayton).

Edit: Carpenter looked REALLY good last night - much faster and more confident at 220 than he was at 240 earlier in the season. If he finishes out the season playing like that, I could see him going this year.

At some point if football isn’t your future then it’s time to graduate and get a job. There are some that could help us. We’ll just see what happens.

Antwan Owens never took a redshirt. Seems like he's been injured a ton, and never has really had a chance to reach his potential. I would hope he comes back.

I want all the guys that have a scholarship offered next year to come back. I think maybe half will be extended one and of those half will move on, so gonna say 2-3 return

Carpenter made a lot of tackles without wrapping up. Just a hellfire missile some of the times, maybe more but I specifically remember 4 or 5 times.

He needs to wrap up to be a consistent player against the more talented teams in the conference.

This is going to be interesting and I’m curious how CGC handles it. With the recent players entering the portal, I assume his primary focus is flipping the roster to his players and continuing the youth movement. That said, any OL/DL starters would need to be given strong consider for returning.

If it were me, I would absolutely try to get a graduate degree/get into a graduate program using my football skills. I'd be willing to bet that is how CGC plays this.
